Howdy pioneers! 🌵
We’ve got a brand-new update for the Frontier Legends demo bringing more life to your towns, deeper building options, and a whole host of fixes that smooth out your adventures on the frontier. This update introduces worker NPCs and the foundations of town management, as well as new items and building improvements. We’ve also tackled a long list of pesky bugs (especially around horses 🐎) to make your journey more stable and enjoyable.
🆕 Additions
Miners Camp has been added.
Nails are now available, allowing you to build bigger and stronger buildings.
Town NPCs (first stage) – NPCs now start working in town. Later updates will expand them to give quests and share information when interacted with.
Worker NPC system – Hire workers by interacting with worker buildings. Different quality workers can be hired, managed, and tracked through their respective buildings. Hired workers will walk from the train station to their assigned building. (In the next update, workers will require wages and housing to stay happy and productive!)
🔧 Fixes & Improvements
Fixed: Dying on a horse prevented riding it again immediately after respawn.
Fixed: Horses that die while being ridden no longer keep running forward.
Fixed: Teleporting through house walls when dismounting a horse.
Fixed: Opening a chest during the mounting sequence locked the camera.
Fixed: Inventory bug where saddles and items could disappear under certain conditions.
Fixed: Mounting while moving caused desync, appearing on “nothing” before teleporting onto the horse.
Fixed: Saddle inventory exploit where invisible slots were created.
Fixed: Range values not updating correctly.
Fixed: Horse UI only showing 100/100 HP (now reflects correct health, e.g., 300 HP).
- FixedLoading an autosave while dead created a new character and erased levels/stat points.
Fixed: Furnace crafting no longer requires a campfire.
Fixed: Houses not saving their building stages – now houses are completed when placed down.
That’s all for this round, pioneers! Be sure to wishlist Frontier Legends to stay up to date on future updates, new features, and the road to Early Access.
