I'm so happy to say over 500 of you have made Frack the World such a personal success!
I had written in my notebook prior to launch that I expected 50 people to play my game. Lofty goals. To be crossing the 500 player threshold a little over a month into the game's life is mind-blowing to me. So, thank you all - really.
Anyways, several weeks have passed since launch and 8 patches alongside it that have addressed dozens of quirks and quality of life things. Beyond that I was able to add a new company and scenario. It's the quality of life stuff that really makes me happy and I hope it's noticeable in-game.
I think that very must-address launch issues are out of the way at this point, and I'm looking ahead to a major patch. So let me give some teases as to what to expect.
Patch 1.08 will be the largest I've done so far, adding new content, further quality of life options, and tweaks to quirks that are discovered. I'm aiming for Late-May for this patch currently. Here's a quick idea of what you may find (certain things may of course change or be delayed to later patches):
-the sixth company, focused on economic builds, with perks associated with a new system -a new system: government bailouts. With the economist hired and a reasonable payment to the right people, get a last ditch cash infusion when you would otherwise lose a match -at least one new scenario introducing the new company, clearing this will unlock them in Quickplay -a new Special Game Mode: Free Build - all of the systems of a Quickplay match with no costs. The environment can and will still deteriorate but you won't have to worry about going broke. A perfect place to practice or build a pipe masterpiece -several new Quickplay stage layouts -several additional Steam achievements
And that's all I'll lay out for now. Again, I'm aiming for Late-May and intend for everything above to be in Patch 1.08.
Thank you all for playing and hopefully I'll see you all again when the next patch and the next milestone is met!
