Patch 1.07 Changes
MENU STUFF
scenarios now visually indicate which company you are playing as in the menu
scenario names and win conditions are now in their own title card in the menu
several formatting changes to scenario descriptions
items in shop menus are now highlighted when cursor is in contact
changed "Select a Map" to "Select a Stage" in Quickplay menu
changed "Special Game" to "Special Mode" in Quickplay menu
re-positioned location of Special Modes in the Quickplay menu
the description menu backdrop now only displays when text is being displayed in the Quickplay menu
quickplay stage selection description completely revamped
scenario menu no longer always displays description menu backdrop
VISUALS
deciduous trees turn orange in autumn months
trucks leaving the Rig each month have a new color possibility
contractor building is highlighted on hover
land-for-sale signs are highlighted on hover
OTHER
changed the music track associated with Emerald Eco Mining
adjusted the parameters that decide color variations for all variation-based sprites
fixed a typo in scenario 11 description
added more information to the credits text
fixed an issue where building menu backdrops sometimes wouldn't draw correctly
fixed an issue where menu text in land-for-sale signs wasn't white
fixed an issue where reading news flashes in the menu would sometimes create several layered menu backdrops
increased the collision mask of quickplay stage selection buttons
general optimizations (reduced several hundred lines of unnecessary code! reduced file size a further 8MB)
I've had a lot of opportunity to clean up and refurbish menus and such recently, with some more efficient code I'm learning while tinkering with a new project. So that is the main focus of this patch.
I changed the Emerald Eco Mining theme because it was a little too much for the vibe of the game. Hopefully nobody like loved that track. I didn't. It's replaced.
Thanks for the support, Frack the World is now 1 month old, and has had dozens of small improvements and additions since launch thanks to the support I really was not expecting to have as an unknown developer entering this space. So thank you, I deeply appreciate it. And I can't wait to keep making more fun stuff.
