I’d like to start by thanking everyone who has played the game since Update 4 launched! Feedback has been positive and we’re glad that trains have finally arrived. We’ve been pretty busy monitoring the situation and reacting to any bug or issue reports, but ultimately this has been a relatively smooth update launch.
What would you like to see next?
As the dust settles on Update 4, we are getting ready to decide on what comes next. So it’s time to get that conversation going, and I’d like to hear your thoughts about what you think FOUNDRY needs the most.
Whatever you’d like to see next, please let us know in the Steam comments below, at our Discord or on Reddit. We’ve always cared a lot about the community's opinion and are excited to hear from you. Whatever it is, don’t hold back.
Do we already have some plans?
We have some ideas, as well as exciting prototypes, but we’re still in the exploration phase. There are a couple of things that have been requested for a while, and we’re evaluating if they are a good fit for the next update, but we haven’t made any final decisions. Examples of often requested bigger features are blueprints, expansion of the commerce system or a pressure mechanic.
Improving the commerce system seems like a good idea. We’d also like to polish the assembly lines and make more products on them. Of course there is the space station, which can be expanded.
Ultimately there’s a lot of stuff we can do to add more content and expand on existing features, but at the same time we’re also looking if there’s something else that might be a little more transformative. And now is the right time to spend some time on planning. We’ll keep you up to date on how it goes!
