addedI am proud to present the first Early Access build of Fortified Space, now available for purchase. Thank you to all of you who reached out across multiple platforms to provide feedback and encouragement throughout the development process so far. I am only a solo developer, and this is my first game, so things like that matter a lot. I think I truly only got this far because, somehow, this little game of mine actually gathered a fan base. I hope you have fun firing railgun slugs into alien ships and watching your turrets shred enemies on the ground.
addedSteam post imageI have too many ideas for this game. If I waited to add them all before release, Fortified Space would never see the light of day! I wanted to release it as Early Access now so that you all can experience for yourselves what I am trying to do and what the game's identity has become. I also wanted to hear all the great ideas you'll have for new features and improvements. I think at this stage, the core game is complete, and I am now in the mindset of “how many cool things can I add before 1.0?” I have an entire Google Doc list of things I want to add, but your feedback will not only give me new ideas, but help me prioritize existing ideas as well. As with all Early Access games, please forgive any jankiness or limitations you might notice; since I am working on this game on my own, it's difficult to catch all the problems even with playtesters. The game is under active development and I'll work to fix the bugs you find. Your feedback matters!
changedFeedbackIf you want to tell me about any suggestions you have or bugs you found, I would absolutely love to hear them. In fact, I basically need them so that I can make an awesome 1.0. The best way to give me feedback is through the feedback button on the main menu of the game. That will link you to a Google Forms page, and I'll automatically get an email + phone notification as soon as you submit. You don't have to leave your email address, but you can if you want to have further conversations about your ideas. Since I'm a solo developer, I'm pretty much open to all ideas. I don't have any teammates or bosses I need to consult with.

I actually started making this game because I wanted to play it myself, so I'm really motivated to add those features I thought of. Basically, I'm just as eager as you are for more and more fun things to do. I might publish a tentative roadmap later on, once I've had a chance to hear your feedback, but I already have one that I am working off of internally. As of today, I am already creating new things that will be in the v0.2.0 update. Stay tuned.
