Forever World Cup Simulator changes
Major Team & Player Updates
In earlier versions, a player’s nationality was linked directly to the team they played for. This caused issues when players were generated from club teams, as their nationality could be the club itself which really does not make sense.
To fix this, the team editor now includes two new settings:
Team type - Set a team as either "Club" or "National". Home country - Define a home country for club teams.
With these two settings, the simulator can assign correct nationalities during player generation. Club teams will primarily generate players from their home country, but there is still a chance for foreign players to be generated as well.
A player contract system is already in place, so it is possible that in future versions players can be transferred between teams.
Player Table
Added a "Teams" column alongside the "Nationalities" columns, useful for club teams simulation. Also, these two columns are filterable by clicking a flag. There is a button to remove filters below the table.
If there are retired players in the table, their names are displayed in red.
Human Name Editor
The editor has been decoupled from the team editor, which means you can create an entry reusable for multiple teams.
You can create a human name entry titled “Spanish origin names,”, fill it with first and last names, and then, in the team editor, select that entry for the First name pool or Last name pool fields.
Matches
Injury time calculation has been improved to factor in substitutions, incidents, and disallowed goals. Expect longer added time in important knockout matches.
Tags
The tag page is now dedicated to a single tag. You can access the editor directly on the same page.
A new Ranking column has been added to the team table. This lets you see the ranking of teams by the same tag.
Export & Import
Support for uncompressed .json files is being phased out. The game now automatically exports backups in the more optimized and smaller .gz format. When you import, just import the compressed file directly to the game. There is no need to decompress the file manually before you import.
If you have older .json saves, please import them and re-export them to ensure future compatibility.
