changedHow to get this build?Restart Steam if necessary for your copy to be updated. * As a precaution, always make a backup of your saved game files. As long as you do not save a game (which you can't during multiplayer anyway) it should be fine.
changedDesign SpecificationsYou'll need to be logged onto a proper Steam account to play multiplayer online. - (Local Network) LAN games aren't restricted. You can change your player name. However, you must fill in the IP address to join. - You needn't be Online to qualify. A login will suffice. - Alternatively, you could still use the multiplayer lobby to search for LAN games as long as every Foresight player is logged onto their respective accounts.
addedCurrent Limitations of Foresight MultiplayerIntegration with Steam is sufficient to connect players together without the need for an IP address but there'll be some rare cases where the external IP cannot be retrieved and/or exposed. - There can only be 1 steam server based on a single external IP address. That means, if there're more than 1 machine behind a router, only 1 machine can setup the server. We'll try to fix it by the release build. - Port Forwarding is STILL required on the server machine. If you aren't behind a router, ie, directly connected to your ISP, then there's no issue. If otherwise, your router must have uPnP enabled in order to allow port forwarding to be done automatically. This may be complicated to folks who aren't familiar with routers and networking. - Unicode Steam names aren't supported. We do intend to support FIGS in the future but other languages are unlikely to be supported either via display or via IME. - Pinging doesn't work at this time. It'll be done by the time V1.08a is released.
changedConclusionThis is a Release Candidate build. Which means it's very close to what we intend to deliver for the major patch V1.08a. Bug Fixes will continue if any bugs are found but no major features will be introduced till release. Thanks for your support. We're working hard to deliver our promises to you. The multiplayer lobby is just one of them. Please, help us test out the lobby during our team break. We'll be on the lookout for any feedback and/or report of bugs. Thanks you very much! Have a great week ahead! Regards, Jeremy

Current Limitations of Foresight Multiplayer

  • Integration with Steam is sufficient to connect players together without the need for an IP address but there'll be some rare cases where the external IP cannot be retrieved and/or exposed. - There can only be 1 steam server based on a single external IP address. Known bugs

  • Sometimes fighters circle around their targets on the client side due to a mis-sync which we have yet to determine the cause. We should be able to resolve it at the release build.

Conclusion

This is a Release Candidate build. Which means it's very close to what we intend to deliver for the major patch V1.08a.
