Hello, good evening to all!
First of all, I would like to wish you a happy new year 2026!
So, on the production side, I was able to resume full-time development. According to my schedule, update 0.2 will be released on Friday, January 30th at 5 PM CET
It will include the latest news:
The new spawn system with zombies that appear all around the player, according to zones of density.
The day-night cycle with the behavior modification of the zombies that goes with it, indeed they will appear more numerous, but have a worse vision.
Melee weapons, which allow you to kill zombies without alerting others. The knife will not disappear at death, giving the possibility to the player to always have a means of defense.
A new area to explore, with the addition of the "Docks", a very complete new area with industrial, medical and military spawn.
Some QoL with the addition of weapon animation and new SFX on certain actions like eating and drinking or taking damage.
I still have quite a few things to do so the final PatchNote is not yet known but you have the bulk of the subject above.
I also took the opportunity to redo the roadmap to see a little more clearly on the direction the project is taking.
There you go, for today, we will therefore meet again on January 30th for the update 0.2 of For Humanity!
