Hello, dear viewers. Mikey here on Steam. The only good reason to keep reading.
Our developers are romantics. Truly. They watch rom-coms. They cry during Disney movies. They have very strong opinions about what love is. What they do not know how to do is talk to people. So they did what all great thinkers do when faced with a mystery beyond their understanding: They took notes.
What do two people who love each other do together? The answer came naturally:
IKEA.
That is how ÖKAOU was born. A big store. Hallways. An exit, somewhere. And you. With someone you trust:
One explores.
The other stays outside and guides.
In theory, it is cooperation. Communication. Mutual support. Exactly the kind of things our developers, or any couple, should be capable of.
You, dear viewers, are going to love it. I know it. Because you love complaining about a game you have not even tried yet. And this time, you will have someone to blame in real time.
Does it end well? Our developers watch too much DreamWorks for it to end that badly. But between the beginning and the end... They still have something planned.
