We just released a preview build of the upcoming major "Health & Security" release which will be released later this month. If you want to help us test out the functionality of the upcoming features, we would love to hear your thoughts
The update is available right now on the [c]beta[/c] branch.
We are still working on the onboarding / introduction of the different features via quests, tutorials and popups, but all the main mechanics are present.
Important: This release is not forwards- or backwards-compatible with your current savegames.
Expect bugs!
Here's a non-exhaustive list of things we've added:
New "health" service. Supply your folks with herbs via a doctor to ensure they stay healthy
New "security" service. Employ guards to prevent raiders from stealing and plundering (difficulty option will be added to tweak this and allow turning raiders off entirely)
New resources: wildflowers and herbs
New products: medicine and weapon sets
New buildings with accompanying occupations: Herbalist, Botanist, Pharmacy, Doctor, Weapon smith, Guard tower, Barracks
In addition to this, hundreds of bugfixes, tweaks and general improvements to make the game more performant, stable and enjoyable.
