Happy Easter, FlashBoss Community

Easter has come and gone — we hope it was a good one for everyone celebrating. Thank you for being here, for buying the game, sending bug reports, and sticking with us through the early teething problems (a screen resolution issue and a DLC configuration fix, both now sorted).

Today marks the start of a new direction. FlashBoss is turning it's focus to the English language, and literacy rates. Over the next month, until Mother's Day, that project will continue to unfold.

What's New on April 9th

English Adept — Included with FlashBoss

English Adept is a 1,000-word vocabulary course targeting the attainment of an eighth-grade-plus reading level. It's the gap between functional literacy and confident reading — the words you encounter in articles, contracts, and books that you half-know, or don't quite know at all. Five tiers, forty thematic clusters, every card with a definition, example sentences, and usage notes. Included free with the base game.

Updated UI — Flashcard display and color scheme

The flashcard view has been redesigned for readability. Focus is directed more effectively on the card, with a chalk-themed colour scheme that softens the old 90s-terminal palette across flashcards, boss fights, and the sanctum.

Spring Release Schedule — Easter to Mother's Day

A Final Word:

• A new drop every Thursday from Easter through to Mother's Day. By May 10th, FlashBoss will have 17 vocabulary packs across five languages including 5 packs of English vocabulary,
