Fire & Crown Demo 2.0 is now LIVE!!!

Thank you for your attention and support to Fire and Crown: A Romantic Tale of the Hundred Years' War. The Demo Version 2.0 has now been updated. Here are the details of this update:

I. Story Updates

• Act 1, Chapter 3: Usurpation (May 1418)

• Act 1, Chapter 4: Jacquetta (I) (December 1420)

In these two chapters, you will continue Phil's journey. After escaping from Azincourt, you will witness how Phil, now serving as a member of the Burgundian army, struggles to survive in this chaotic era and has his first encounter with the girl of destiny, Jacquetta.

II. Voice Acting Updates

This update adds full voice acting for the following characters:

• Jacquetta of Namur (CV: Kejue)

• Jeanne d'Arc of Domrémy (CV: Violetta)

• Anne of Burgundy (CV: Xiye)

• Marguerite Monstrelet (CV: Muki)

Partial voice lines have been added for the following characters:

• Phil Monstrelet (CV: Kazusa (adult); Muki (child))

• Eleanor Grosmont (Encyclopedia section; CV: Sakura-Chan)

• Irène of Domrémy (Encyclopedia section; CV: Ayako)

【Notes on Optimization and Initial Loading Stutter】

Due to the characteristics of the Ren’Py engine, the game may experience brief stuttering or loading delays during the first launch or when entering certain scenes for the first time. This is normal behavior, as the engine automatically builds caches and loads fonts and image assets on its first run.

In our local tests, overall smoothness improves significantly after the second launch. Most stuttering issues only occur during the initial loading phase. The developers have optimized resource size and loading processes to the best of their ability, but this cache-building mechanism is inherent to the engine layer and cannot be completely avoided at present. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

If you encounter brief stuttering during your first playthrough, please wait a moment, and the game will return to normal smoothness.
