addedSadly, data centers around the world are increasing their prices allegedly due to a shortage of RAM and CPU's necessary to run dedicated servers.Being a solo developer who's funding the development of my game out of pocket I can't afford a 120% increase in monthly server hosting costs. The servers I had set up for Hell.Net were very powerful and affordable at $25 , but since that sky-rocketed to $55 a month I have to scale down the Hell.Net server fleet to less powerful machines. For the next week, all of the Hell.Net servers will be replaced by new servers. There will be periods upwards to 6 hours (and possibly longer) where FIGHT LIKE HELL will not be playable. Because Hell.Net is a multiplayer system designed in-house from scratch some important elements like load balancing are not yet properly implemented. This unfortunate event will not impair the future of Hell.Net, since I will simply distribute the load that was intended for one powerful server over several less-powerful servers, thus achieving the same network + performance quality for the lobbies as it stands now.
