addedHalf a month into Fallen Leaf's release, in listening to your feedback one thing's been heard loud and clear: there sure are a lot of characters and weapons in the game! While it adds a lot of mechanical depth and variety, it does make quick-switching to your favorites during gameplay more difficult as the roster gets bigger and bigger.
addedToggle TimeSo, we've introduced weapon and character toggling. You'll notice a new button prompt on the pause menu when selecting a weapon or character: "DEACTIVATE". Pressing this button will remove the weapon or character from the rotation when you press the previous/next weapon or previous/next character buttons in-game. To undo this, just press the same button again to "ACTIVATE" that weapon or character. You can also still select deactivated weapons and characters from the pause menu, letting you use that rare specialty weapon once in a stage and then switch to your favored rotation.
changedToggle TimeLet's say you depend on the verticality of the Hammer and the horizontal range and homing of the Fishing Tackle, but the Boomerang and Farmer's Fork just get in your way. Problem solved!
addedTrading CardsAlso, we were approved for Steam Trading Cards and Points Shop, and both are now available for Fallen Leaf. You'll find five different Trading Cards to collect, as well as several Fallen Leaf emoticons and profile backgrounds. Hope you like them!
fixedController FixIn addition, we fixed a pesky bug that prevented you from choosing certain buttons when setting a Custom controller scheme. Specifically, you couldn't choose the buttons currently set to Select or Cancel for actions that conflict with those functions, even though they are both reset to conflict-free binds when a new Custom scheme is set up. Now it works as intended! And you can then, afterwards, go on to change Select and Cancel to other face buttons of your choosing.
changedController FixDid you know? The controller and keyboard color schemes match your current character if you use the pause menu version of the Control Settings menu.

Or, maybe you'd prefer to swap between Petal for those more careful sections and Pawla to get up close and shred big baddies, but Leaf and Lubby aren't your style. Hello convenience! The deactivated characters even close their eyes and take it easy. No hard feelings, right Leaf?

Trading Cards

Also, we were approved for Steam Trading Cards and Points Shop, and both are now available for Fallen Leaf. You'll find five different Trading Cards to collect, as well as several Fallen Leaf emoticons and profile backgrounds. Hope you like them!

Hey, I don't even have them all yet...what gives?!

Here's an example of one of the art pieces used for the profile backgrounds, featuring Xankulos and some totally Justice-coded decorations. This is the original art, which is a bit brighter and more saturated than the actual profile background in Steam.

Controller Fix

In addition, we fixed a pesky bug that prevented you from choosing certain buttons when setting a Custom controller scheme.

Did you know? The controller and keyboard color schemes match your current character if you use the pause menu version of the Control Settings menu.

We're so happy to see people enjoying our game, and we can't thank you enough for all the positive vibes, feedback, streams, and more. Thanks, really!
