Factomancer changes
Dear Factomancers,
We're excited to share an update that we hope will allow even more players to enjoy the experience we want Factomancer to offer, while still offering a rewarding challenge for our veterans.
It's been a little over a month since the demo launched, and we're still very touched by your support and enthusiasm.
Thank you to everyone who has played it and joined our Discord server! We've been carefully reading every piece of feedback, whether it comes from Steam reviews, our Discord server, the Steam Community Hub, or social media.
Overall, your feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, but one recurring point of friction stood out for some players: the lack of a pause feature and the constant time pressure. From the very beginning, we envisioned Factomancer as a pause-free experience, with strong RTS influences. That design choice dates back to our earliest playtests, and the game has evolved considerably since then.
Without compromising the experience we've built, one we want to be accessible while retaining its depth, we decided to revisit the question of adding a pause feature. After many internal discussions and experiments, as well as encouraging results from community playtests, the answer became clear: the pause belongs in Factomancer.
We hope that those who were discouraged by the lack of a pause feature will give Factomancer another chance!

🔧 Patch Notes
⏸️ Pause System
You can now pause the game at any time to build peacefully
General polish of the pause system: interaction between screens and pause, tutorial flow, fabric and portal behaviors (which didn't react to pause), key rebinding
Added a dedicated sound when activating the pause
⚖️ Balancing
End-of-day tokens increased from 5 to 8 to allow for more constructions
Daily objectives revised upwards to enhance the challenge, now that pause is available

Fixed: Spanish was not selectable in the settings

Fixed: Text overflow in some parts of the grimoire
