Balancing
๐ Objectives
We have increased the game's difficulty after Day 10. Many of you have reported that the game becomes too easy once you get the hang of its mechanics.
Objectives have been scaled up, especially for the final days.
City Favor objectives have also been increased.
Severity has been slightly increased, from 10% to 15% per tier.
โญ Relics
A few changes to relics, turns out many of you have been breaking the game!
Tesla
From: + 20% efficiency for transformation machines within a 11x11 area.
To: + 15% efficiency for transformation machines within a 11x11 area.
Capital amplifier
From: +1% efficiency for transformation machines within a 11x11 area. (1% efficiency for every 4 tokens owned, up to 20%.)
To: +1% efficiency for transformation machines within a 11x11 area. (1% efficiency for every 4 tokens owned, up to 30%.)
Sales bonus
From: +1 token for every 200 ingredients sold.
To: +1 token for every 3 00 ingredients sold.
Tutorial
๐ New Tutorial Flow:
The tutorial has been redesigned for a better first experience.
The tutorial is now clamped to Day 10, with additional steps added throughout.
Various bug fixes and polish applied across tutorial sequences.
Minor tutorial hints added for the Compendium.
Settings
โ๏ธ Complete Settings Rework:
The settings menu has been fully overhauled. Here are the most requested features, now available.
๐ฎ Inputs:
All inputs are now fully customisable, rebind anything to your liking!
Camera movement, rotation, and zoom can now all be assigned to keys.
Camera movement sensitivity is now adjustable.
๐ฅ๏ธ Graphics:
You can now select on which monitor the game is displayed.
Proper VSync and FPS limit management have been added.
๐ง New Options:
Show shortcut on hover.
Commands follow the mouse.
Keep conveyor selected after placement.
Others
๐ UI & Readability:
Increased visibility of events.
Increased visibility of locked tiles.
The info screen has been reworked, press โ Iโ to display useful information about the game and its inputs.
Hovering an element now displays its associated shortcut, if it has one.
๐ Performance:
Optimized geometry by replacing most terrain cubes with planes.
Disabled GPU Resident Drawer on systems with no GPU hardware.
Added GPU instancing on repeated instanced materials.
๐ Bug Fixes
- Machine Codexnew ingredients now correctly appear when an output recipe is saved.
Machine field feedback now properly shows "Not connected" and "Wrong recipe" messages.
Recipe display in the Machine Codex has been reworked, you no longer need full ingredient quantities to check a recipe. One of each ingredient is enough to determine whether the recipe exists.
Structures now display correctly in the Structure area of the end-game screen.
City reward choice no longer appears when all rewards have already been claimed.
Abundant spells can no longer appear inside one another.
Fixed music stopping in the Kilokrill biome.
Items selected from the shop and not placed at end of day are now correctly refunded.
