Hotfix Patchnotes!

Our playtest has been going strong this weekend -- with many players already succeeding in breaking the game... yay? Thankfully, our devs are hard at work getting some major fixes in before the playtest ends. Look below to see what's fixed!

Major Fixes and Changes

  • The defense skill now functions as intended.

  • Fixed some errors causing Single Player to not work correctly - starting a singleplayer server should now work!

  • Coins are no longer required for Desolate Zone upgrades.

  • Adjusted various sound volume levels (to save your eardrums).

  • Added 6 new WIP crafting minigames — we'd love your feedback on those!

Adjustments

  • Added additional tutorial tips for the starting quest "One Short Lesson"

  • Controllers can now use Secondary Interact feature.

  • Some raw items are now stackable when they weren't before.

Bug Fixes

  • Abilities and dodge rolling are now disabled while using the interact function.

  • Fixed a rare issue where items could be lost when withdrawing from the bank.

  • Fixed multiple issues with Death's Coffer not returning the correct items and corrupting saves.

  • Fixed a client side bug allowing the equipping of a shield while holding a 2 hander, causing client side inventory issues.

  • Fixed the deer statue locking players in place.

  • Fixed vegetation not rendering when travelling between maps.

  • Fixed Skin Colour not updating correctly when Creating a Character.

  • Fixed an error causing the last Skin Colour to not be accessible.

  • Tooltips now display the correct block chance and block cap on equippables

  • Fixed Tooltips going crazy when holding alt in the shop/bank.

  • Fixed some other tooltip alignment issues

  • Fixed getting stuck in a busy state when spamming interact on an object

  • Fixed the logout message not displaying character names

  • Fixed blocking not applying stamina damage

  • Fixed wetting clay not consuming your bucket of water

  • Fixed minor graphical issues in the crafting and inventory menus

  • Fixed timeouts occurring on various screens

  • Fixed various vegetables having multiple eat options

  • Fixed the fishing net icon.

## Note on Defense:

You earn Defense XP from any damage mitigated by armour, Defense level, or defensive modifiers. Blocking with a weapon or shield reduces incoming damage at the cost of stamina. A well-timed block triggers a Parry, negating the stamina cost. The block icon on your equipment shows your block damage reduction %, with the max block amount below it.
