Everholm – Major Update 2.0 is Now Live
The wait is over. Our biggest update yet has arrived!
Everholm 2.0 focuses on polish, quality of life improvements, deeper storytelling, and a major overhaul of core systems. Over the past months we’ve listened closely to your feedback, revisited systems that needed improvement, and worked hard to make Everholm feel smoother, clearer, and more meaningful to play.
This update represents a huge step forward for Everholm, and it also lays the foundation for future content still to come.
Listening to Feedback
Many of the changes in Update 2.0 come directly from player feedback. From UI readability and dialogue flow to progression clarity and quality-of-life features, we’ve taken your suggestions seriously and focused on improving areas that felt confusing or limiting.
We’re incredibly grateful for all the thoughtful discussions, bug reports, and suggestions you’ve shared with us. They genuinely help shape the direction of Everholm.
A Major NPC Overhaul
NPC interactions have been completely reworked to feel more immersive and expressive:
Larger dialogue interface
Big character portraits
Branching dialogue options
Deeper personal stories tied to Melanie and Everholm
Conversations should now feel more engaging, readable, and emotionally grounded.
Everholm Archive
The Everholm Archive is now a central part of the narrative, connecting lore, exploration, and progression. Story threads that were previously easy to miss are now clearer and more integrated into the overall journey.

Quality of Life
UI redesigned for improved readability and larger text
Cutscenes are now skippable
Inventory stacks can be split anywhere
Artisan goods are now edible
NPC gifting rebalanced
Disliked items removed
Each NPC now has only one loved item
Reduced luck influence on farming
Broom Improvements
Broom can now fly over terrain and obstacles
Broom can be summoned anywhere
New broom mini-game added
Gameplay & Systems
Boss fight reworked and adjusted
Underworld loot progression updated, deeper levels unlock new items
Grass patches added to improve farm visuals
Items can now be placed on carpets and tables
You can now sit on certain chairs
New item bundles added
Trash cans added

We’ve heard your localization requests and want to support as many languages as possible. Future localizations will depend on available funding and resources, but expanding language support remains a strong goal for us.

The game has been updated in many stages of progression so in order to experience them we do recommend starting a new save file even though you can absolutely continue where you left off!
