Everholm – Major Update 2.0 (Coming around Mid-February)

We’re excited to announce that Everholm Update 2.0 is coming right around mid-February, and it’s our biggest update yet.

This update focuses on polish, quality of life, and narrative depth. We’ve addressed many long-standing issues, improved overall flow, and refined systems that players previously found unclear or limiting.

A Major NPC Overhaul

One of the biggest changes in Update 2.0 is a complete NPC interaction overhaul:

  • A much larger dialogue box

  • Large NPC profile portraits

  • Branching dialogue options

Deeper personal stories connected to Melanie and Everholm

Conversations should now feel more engaging, readable, and meaningful.

Everholm Archive

The Everholm Archive is now a central part of the story, adding more depth, mystery, and context to the world. This update ties together narrative threads that were previously easy to miss, creating a more cohesive experience overall.

What’s New in Update 2.0 Quality of Life

  • UI reworked for improved readability and larger text

  • Cutscenes are now skippable

  • Inventory stacks can be split anywhere

  • Artisan goods are now edible

  • NPC gifting rebalanced

  • Disliked items removed

  • Each NPC now has only one loved item

  • Reduced luck influence on farming

Broom Improvements

  • Broom can now fly over any terrain or obstacles

  • Broom can be summoned anywhere

  • New broom mini-game added

Gameplay & Systems

  • Boss fight reworked and adjusted

  • Underworld biome loot has been reworked so drops are tied to specific depth levels, allowing certain items to appear only as you progress deeper.

  • Grass patches added ( to make the farm look nicer )

  • Place items on carpets and tables

  • Sit on some chairs

  • New item bundles added

  • Trash cans added

  • 120 new items + machines

Content & Features

  • The Tree of Everholm

  • Everholm Archive introduced

  • New non-fetch quests

  • Expanded story content

  • New items

  • One new secret

Dialogue & Presentation

  • New dialogues and branching dialogue options

  • NPC emotions added

  • Dialogue box visuals updated

Shops

  • New shop added: Dominique Lost & Found

Localization

  • Full Chinese localization added
