Honestly, I did not expect it to get this much attention.

There are countless games pouring out into the world, and with AI images standing so openly at the front, I thought people might just see it as AI slop and move on.

It is not like the human-drawn art in Organic mode was incredibly beautiful either.

We talked about spreading it around as much as we could, and if it still got buried, then maybe that was just how it would go. Even so, it would be nice if at least a few people looked at it.

But once it was actually out, quite a lot of people did look at it.

And many of the reactions were things I had not expected.

AI Mode

What surprised me most was how much less resistance there was toward the AI images than I had expected.

That does not mean nobody felt uncomfortable. That reaction was expected, and it is not a feeling unfamiliar to me either. Sometimes the very sight of AI art catches in your throat first.

But the response did not stop there.

Some people simply said it was pretty. Some reacted with, "It can draw this well now?" Others took it in with, "This is kind of interesting in its own way," too.

Organic Mode

Steam post image

What surprised me was how many people looked closely at Organic mode.

There were reactions that caught the details I drew in, like the tongue and the Adam's apple, or picked up on the parts that were deliberately drawn badly one by one.

I was really grateful for that.

I was so grateful that people did not just pass over the wrinkly, awkward drawings, but really looked at them and judged them closely.

In planning meetings, I would bring up the Children's Day login screen from Girls' Frontline and say: let's approach it with this kind of feeling.

But now, right before release, GPT can spit out drawings in that kind of crooked style too. Is it taking even this away from us...

A Cappella

I honestly thought the sudden a cappella in Organic mode might feel too abrupt and strange to people.

But some people enjoyed that part more than I expected, and I was really grateful for that too.

We did not even have a proper recording booth, so the two of us recorded it under blankets. It felt rewarding to see people respond warmly to it.

More than anything, it left me thinking that making the demo was the right decision.
