UPDATE TIME!!

This is the patch that took the longest time to develop since the early access launched. The past two months have truly been...a development nightmare. But now, it's finally ready! (And I can go back to making more towers!)

As usual, the fourth area comes with unique new mechanics, a new Boss fight, and new unlockable flames. Since it’s currently the last planned area, the design focus this time has returned to what really matters in tower defense games: resource management. Figuring out how to make the most of your gold, blocks, and towers, while fending off attacks and achieving other objectives, will be the key to conquering the new maps!

For the next few updates, I’ll be adding more towers and relics, as well as finishing up the remaining characters. Originally, I planned to work on the highest difficulty mode next, but I’d like to see how everyone feels about the difficulty of the fourth area first. So that might get pushed back a bit while I focus on adding other features first.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the new map! If you have any suggestions, found any bugs, or think it’s too easy or too hard, please leave a comment below and let me know.

New Features

  • New Area: Sealed Citadel

  • New Flame: Ancient Flame (Unlocked after clearing Sealed Citadel on Normal difficulty or above)

  • New Flame: Candle Flame (Unlocked after clearing Sealed Citadel on Heroic difficulty)

Game Adjustments

  • The relic options at the Academy will not have relics with elemental effects that does not match any of the available towers. (For example, if none of the available towers are Poison type, then there won't be any Poison-related relic in the starting options.)

  • On the map, the possible positions where Workshop tiles can appear have been adjusted slightly further back.

  • Slightly lowered the unlock requirements for some characters.

  • Reroll Item Adjustments:

    • Each game now starts with 2 Gambler's Tokens, and you can obtain an extra 1/2/3 from talents.

    • The Gambler's Token reward upon stage clear has been changed to 2 tokens at a time.

Balance Adjustments

  • Slightly lowered the difficulty of early stages on Heroic difficulty.

  • Towers:

    • Decimate TowerAttack speed increased by 25%.
    • Lava TowerDamage decreased by 12.5% (16 → 14). Lava from Lava Tower can now flow across Corrupted tiles. For clarity, lava on a Corrupted tile will appear red.
    • Chomp TowerDamage increased by 33% (30 → 40), attack speed increased by 20%.
    • Hammer TowerDamage increased by 20% (50 → 60), attack speed increased by 25%.
    • Axe TowerDamage increased by 20% (10 → 12).
    • Scrap Tank Tower:

      • The damage and attack speed multiplier gained from dismantling towers is slightly increased.

      • Now all “Scrap Master” relics (three in total) also increase the Scrap Tank Tower’s upgrade limit by 150.

      • The blue upgrade now increases its upgrade limit by 300. This adjustment aims to make the “Scrap Tank build” a viable, gradually scaling strategy. When all three relics are collected, the upgrade limit can reach 1,050 gold.

  • Runes:

    • Scrap Rune: When combined with a Mega Rune, it will spawn 10 Scrap Towers. (In theory it should've be 20...but after testing, that was way too strong. 10 is more balanced.)

    • Inspiration RuneRarity slightly increased, and it will no longer appear if more than half of the blocks in your inventory have the Inspiration Rune.
