Cloud saves and offline play

  • Your best is always kept. Saves now merge instead of overwrite across PC and Steam Deck, the game keeps your highest scores, furthest waves, and all your unlocks.

  • Play offline anytime. Scores, stats, and unlocks save locally and sync automatically the moment you reconnect. This was always by design but had some edge cases I didn't design for.

  • Fixedleaderboard scores could be overwritten by a lower score. Steam now only ever keeps your best. I introduced this bug when I upgraded Godotsteam and didn't do a full regression test.
  • Fixed: starting the game offline could show worlds as locked or stats as empty until you started playing. Your progress now loads correctly offline.

  • Steam Deck: progress now syncs properly across suspend/resume and between your Deck and PC.

  • Leaderboards re-post automatically when you come back online, so anything you earned offline gets submitted.

  • New offline indicators on the home screen and leaderboards, so you know your scores are saved and will sync later.

Quality of life

  • "Start World N"on the Start button now drops you back into the world you last played, instead of always sending you to World 1.

  • Unlock progress on the home screensee how close you are to unlocking the next world, and get a heads-up when a new one opens.
  • "NEW" tag on worlds you've unlocked but haven't tried yet.

  • Bumpers cycle worlds on the World Select screen (LB/RB, or Q/E on keyboard).

Balance and feel

  • Power-ups are now spaced across the wave instead of bunching up at the start - especially in Worlds 2 and 3.

  • Fewer Wedge swarms in Worlds 2 and 3. The arena felt crowded, so I thinned the wedge packs and traded them for shards - easier to clear and better for chain reactions!

  • New power-up alerts: an audio cue when one drops, plus an on-screen reminder each wave.

  • Power-up expiration warning is a little louder.

Fixes

  • High scores from runs you hit "Try Again" on are now saved properly.

  • Fixed your global score occasionally drifting away from the sum of your world scores.

  • Various save and leaderboard sync reliability fixes under the hood.

Keep the reports coming!
