Thank you to everyone who has given amazing feedback on Egression so far! Our first patch is now out the door - see the release notes below for details!
Features
Added support for distance grab to pick up items from the floor without bending down (with an option to distance grab from non-floor locations for sitting players or limited play spaces)
Added a button to the Tablet's exit screen to reset progress (great for letting friends/family start playing from scratch!)
Added a confirmation screen for graphics quality changes (previously, players could inadvertently make the game unplayable at too high a setting, and then be unable to change it back)
Added automatic graphics quality adjustments when framerate is consistently poor (to keep the game in a playable state)
Increased allowed floor offsets for extreme cases and to allow young/small or sitting players to reach higher (combine this with the new distance grab feature to avoid needing to change floor height constantly)
Added a deadzone for locomotion controls for aging controllers (no more drift!)
Content
Added an instructional sign behind the tablet on the intro table, to let players know not to try to put the tablet back in its holder (press the appropriate button on your control to put the tablet away and take it back out)
Added a splash of fall to the kiosk area (gourds and turkeys galore)
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where a hand could disappear until the tablet is used
Fixed an issue where the player’s view would jump when using Pimax headsets
