Heya!

I'm pleased to announce that Ecrazeus Castle is releasing on August 24th, 2026! A new trailer was made for the occasion!

This ties in with an updated demo.

Among the notable updates to the demo in particular:

  • Pistol-type weapons were added (only Pistol drops in the demo, but if you equip two at once...)

  • Dodge move added

  • Default button config on controllers re-arranged (has alternate bindings assigned to the original left/right weapon attacks)

  • Russian and Japanese language support.

  • Some performance boosts (hopefully)

  • Score, weapon re-balancing

  • Crash fixes

  • A lot more I'm forgetting about... it's a lot of behind the scenes fixes.

It's a bit crazy right now, since now I'm going to go a bit more heavy on the marketing. Stayed up till 3AM trying to send Press Releases, but I gotta keep going.

Full Game Features:

  • Arcade-like Inspiration

It's not a rogue-like! You can complete the game on your first run, in either a single course mode (Quickplay), or a continuous, three courses in a row mode (Quest), with no mandatory unlocks from previous runs required to win!

    There are three courses

    • Beginner course is the easiest (and the one featured in the demo). The timer is the shortest and can't be extended by that much in order to prioritize a faster game.

    • Advanced course is what used to be the original game plan for this version of the game. This can take some time to clear, with more random rooms to visit, and shop intermissions (besides the one before the castle), should you progress through enough rooms in a single run. The castle also has different layouts randomly decided per run.

    • Expert course has a unique deadline timer mechanic that kills you if the timer runs out, and a fixed map layout for most of the run, differing based on played character. You'll need to balance exploration and progress in this course! There are also two bosses in the run, and the final boss will change depending on who you're playing as!

  • Cute and Bouncy Characters: Play as a cute angel store clerk, Faune, or an equally cute demon CEO of a massive shopping corporation, Hime-Alice, and dash, stomp, smash, and push foes away into the void!

  • Dual-Wield 60+ Weapon Variations: Collect and dual-wield from 8 broad weapon types, and utilize their diverse, and sometimes un-optimal effects: shoot beams from a sword, charge a laser beam from a minigun, summon chicken from a staff, and more!

  • Some Randomized Elements: The room selection, weapon drops, special room events, and more, keep each playthrough varied!

  • Unlock Secrets with Achievements: Complete achievements to unlock bonuses such as secret characters, outfits, mini-games, and more! (You can also unlock the rewards without having to complete the task, using currency earned throughout the runs, but you'll still need to accomplish the task to unlock the online achievement.)

  • Online & Local Leaderboards: Challenge yourself and the world with leaderboards for each course and Quest mode!

Unfortunately I didn't have time to really go through the new screenshots (I was a bit disappointed in the usable ones), so for now the Steam page and press releases don't have any new screenshots... well, I did add them to this post. That last one is from Expert course.

Game price is 4.99$, with a -10% discount at launch. The pricing across regions is set to "P urchasing Power conversion only", so it should be a cheap game to buy wherever you live (unless you live in the wealthiest countries out there).

I've got a lot of work to do in preparation for the launch (and on top of my current IRL job which pays well and is way less stressful too), so I'll see you guys hopefully at launch!
