  • Merchants now have more variety in what they buy and sell

  • Merchants come from different civilizations

  • Merchant arrival is now smarter, with different ways to influence it

  • New GUI for market buildings

  • Market price buttons now accelerate when held and support 2-decimal values

Controls & UX improvements

  • Added bold highlights to all tutorial goal descriptions

  • Fine-tuned labels for zone assignment

  • Added exit context with shortcut and Enter validation on all popups

  • Improved keyboard camera movement

  • Camera movements can now be combined

  • Better camera performance when moving

  • Reworked the terrain editing tool feel

  • Reduced tree and rock production

Visuals

  • Fine-tuned ambient occlusion Steam post image

Bug fixes

  • Fixed buggy eagles

  • Fixed buggy floating event indicator (direction arrow)

  • Fixed missing strings

Experimental (testing) branch now available

For players who want to help test upcoming changes, a testing branch is now available. This branch includes features and adjustments that are still being iterated on and may be less stable than the main version.

  • Early access to upcoming changes

  • Possible bugs or balance issues

  • Best suited for players who enjoy testing and giving feedback

How to access the testing branch:

  • Right-click Earth of Oryn in your Steam Library

  • Select Properties

  • Go to the "Game Versions & Betas" tab

  • Select the "testing" branch

(No password required.) The main branch remains the recommended version if you prefer a stable experience.

This update is the first step in the early access iteration process.

Feedback on these changes especially the merchant and market systems is very welcome and will directly help shape future updates.
