Duoshift changes
Changelogs:
Changed the Core Mechanic of the game, allowing players to select any Duoshifter at any time to execute multiple card actions without shifting.
Implemented new card context actions (move or swap, add to hand, add to draw, add to discard, and ap Swap) and integrated the Divert action.
Added a new context-action-link feature enabling multi-action cards with linked context selections and automatic preview generation for follow-up actions without context selections.
Expanded card content with 3 new pairs of cards, a new "Panic Button" card and card art across 18 cards.
Added new entity types including the Wall entity and the Cloud entity (featuring No Attack and Existence elements).
Introduced a master fullscreen shader pipeline complete with color adjustments, speed lines, wave/ripple, vignette, scanlines, glitch, and blur effects, alongside a black border display when screen-shake shifts beyond viewport boundaries.
Enhanced card visuals and UX by adding an Attack Curved Arrow display for all ranged attacks, a flowing shader effect to curved connection lines, and lerp visual improvements to deck buttons in the shop, duoshifter selection, and rewards scenes.
Hovering over a relic in the relic display now displays details in the Shop's context panel.
Resolved visual alignment issues including a fix for the turn banner scaling edge-to-edge properly on default UI scaling and fixing curved line attachment/rotation bugs.
Upgraded development tools by adding two developer QoL plugins, a particle controls plugin, and a Particles Manager with Destroy Marks.
Developer Notes:
After the little vacations that I took, couple of my cousins from abroad came to live with me, kept me very occupied and so, had to skip a week as I couldn't work on my game. The development momentum is back and things are really well. I made a big decision of changing the core mechanic of card action shifting the active Duoshifter. It was causing annoyance to the players being forced to play in a shifting pattern. This mechanic will be replaced by a 'Duomentum' feature which is not made yet. For now, the player can choose which Duoshifter to play cards with and it definitely improved the game. I am also able to add many new cards and added a big card mechanic where you can have multiple context selections linked with different actions. This is a game changer mechanic, and it opens up a whole lot of combinations!
