Hello everyone, Gronkins here with patch 0.5.4 of Dungeon Exiles! So this may be one of the last patches for the demo as the full version is releasing very soon! In case you haven’t heard, the official release date of Dungeon Exiles is the 8th of August and the Steam page has been updated with this information. But with that out of the way, let’s get into the patch notes!

changedGame Balance
changedEvasion has been reworked to follow an entropy-based system so over time evading will be more consistent. For example, if attacked ten times with a 30% evasion chance, you will always evade 3 hits

Game Balance

Evasion has been reworked to follow an entropy-based system so over time evading will be more consistent. For example, if attacked ten times with a 30% evasion chance, you will always evade 3 hits

Note: Dodge is still fully random and does not follow this entropy-based system

Blade Dance: Percentage of Maximum Overguard on Hit: 1.5% -> 1%

Warrior

Against All Odds: Increased Armour: 28% -> 32%

Barricade: Chance of Gaining Armour: 25% -> 35%

Battle Vigor: Increased Maximum Health: 5% -> 6%

Born Fighter: Block Chance: 5% -> 6% Increased Mana Regeneration: 25% -> 0% Increased Bleed Damage: 0% -> 25%

Brutal Strikes: Chance to Bleed: 10% -> 12%

Carnage Fighter: Increased Mana Regeneration: 12% -> 0% Increased Attack Speed: 0% -> 10%

Commanding Presence: Increased Mana Regeneration: 15% -> 25%

Endless Endurance: Percent of Health Regenerated per Second: 0.5% -> 0.6%

Fervour: Increased Attack Speed: 15% -> 20%

Heavy Strikes: Increased Attack Damage: 12% -> 14% Critical Strike Chance: 4% -> 6%

Painbringer: Increased Attack Damage: 18% -> 20%

Replenishing Defence: Now restores 0.4% of Maximum Mana per second while Guarded

Retaliation: Increased Attack Damage: 8% -> 10%

Revenge: Activation Chance: 10% -> 20%

Savage Recovery: Percentage of Health Restored on Melee Critical: 1% -> 2%

Unbreakable: Armour: 14 -> 18 Increased Armour: 14% -> 16%

Unflinching: No longer activates on taking a Critical Strike Now has a 20% chance to activate when taking a hit Duration (Seconds): 10 -> 8

Traits

Warrior

Vanguard 2: Block Chance: 8% -> 10%

Juggernaut 2: Armour: 14 -> 16 No longer provides 18% increased Armour It instead provides: Reflect 3 Physical Damage to Attackers when Hit

Berserker 2: Increased Attack Speed: 10% -> 12%

Colossus 4: Increased Health Regeneration: 8% -> 10%

Gladiator 2: Increased Attack Speed: 8% -> 10% Chance to Bleed: 15% -> 20%

Gladiator 4: Duration (Seconds): 7 -> 6 Block Chance: 10% -> 12% Increased Attack Speed: 12% -> 18%

Enemy Balance

Enemies

The Grave Warden: Can no longer inflict Fear with Attacks Soul Slash Coodown (Seconds): 5 -> 6

Modifiers

Bonebreaker (the modifier that provided enemies with a chance to Stun) can no longer randomly spawn

Events

Ancient Forge: No longer costs a percentage of your Maximum Resolve, it has been converted into a flat amount

Abandoned Campsite: Resting at the campsite now restores slightly more Resolve

The Mysterious Alchemist: Now has a chance to give a new and exclusive potion called the Potion of Stoneskin which grants: Gain 5% of Maximum Overguard per second for 8 seconds

Items

All Mage Weapons (excluding Treasure Items) have had their Maximum Elemental Damage to Spells reduced by 1 at all Item Tiers.

Rusty Dagger: No longer provides increased Attack Speed Instead, it provides extra Physical Damage to Attacks, starting at 1 - 1 at Item Tier 1

Serpent’s Fang: Now requires Nightmare 2 to unlock, which means it will no longer be available in the demo version of Dungeon Exiles. To compensate, a new item will be replacing it

New Item: Sturdy Boots Requires: Rogue Provides Health and Evasion

Consumable Items

Some of the consumable items have been adjusted so they feel a bit more unique

Potion of Might: Increased Damage: 65% -> 50% Critical Strike Chance: 0% -> 25%

Potion of Haste: Increased Attack Speed: 60% -> 50% Increased Cooldown Recovery Rate: 0% -> 20%

Potion of Regeneration: Percentage of Health Regenerated per second: 5% -> 3% Duration (Seconds): 6 -> 10

Potion of Mana Regeneration: Duration (Seconds): 6 -> 8

Miscelleneous Changes

Added new text to display the current floor The attack animations for the Rogue and Mage have been improved Added a new option under Settings to auto-skip non-combat dialogue Added a Dodge sound effect The credits panel now correctly closes when pressing Escape Updated some ability tooltips so they no longer say “Activates upon reaching full Mana”

Bug Fixes

The settings panel now correctly closes when pressing Escape Fixed a bug that caused the volume settings to be louder than intended when creating a new save file Fixed a bug that caused enemies to spawn with the Flametouched modifier more often than intended
