Thank you all for the positive feedback on v2.00, and all the good suggestions. Here are the patch notes for version 2.01:

  • A new dark mode which can be enabled in settings. This changes the in-game view to be night time, and the UI to be dark.

  • The duck now sways when turning once again

  • Players will now preemptively have their position set before loading into the city, to avoid issues with unstable collisions on loading of players

  • Players will be reset to the correct position when sent to the blue void

  • Controller is now partially supported! You may still need a mouse to control some UI elements, and is not as fully tested as mouse and keyboard. Expect full controller support soon.

  • You can now set the amount of rounds up to 99 if you really want to

Unfortunately some ideas are still in development as they still have some issues that I need to fix. However, so far, these ideas do give a lot of life to the game. Current ideas in development include: a minimap, different camera angles and wheel support.

As for other things to look forward to, new tracks and a new city is coming soon, along with an overhauled upgrade/customisation system.

I will be taking a short week break on the game, so expect v2.02 on the last week of July.

I hope you continue to enjoy Ducks Can Drive! Joey
