Drill Core changes
The R’n’D Department has been hard at work on several new initiatives to enable Platform Managers to profit for the Board of Directors like never before!
The Machine World DLC
Invest in your future as a Platform Manager with a journey to the Tech Biome, where you’ll discover a new boss, new blocks, a new core, and a couple more things that the R’n’D Department refuse to disclose despite numerous threats.
Please check future Internal Memos for further details; we remind all Drill Core Inc. staff that these are mandatory.
Specialist Update
Of course, the Board of Directors does not pay staff a very menial generous sum undeservingly, so there are plenty of new improvements on the way for all Platform Managers in a free update.
Firstly, the ‘HR Department’ has finalised their new Specialists initiative, and you will now find yourself able to recruit one of five Specialists at the beginning of each mining operation. Each will have their own unique abilities to greatly enhance your profits results.
Please note that any Specialists killed during the course of an operation will not be able to be recruited again. The HR Department referenced something about the ‘value’ of workers.
The R’n’D Department has also discovered a new type of block that seems to be appearing in all biomes; they’ve coined the term ‘Distortion Blocks’ to describe these, as they seem to cause distortions in reality that could easily impact mining operations. Proceed with caution, Platform Managers!
Astute Platform Managers will also notice that new upgrades are also available from the central console, introducing brand new ways to build and drill during your operations. The Lab after the upgrade will provide to research during the run the ability to drill through resolite. And, btw, you can now build up to 6 of the same building.
Naturally, this far from encompasses everything that the R’n’D Department is working on, but we look forward to sharing further information in future internal memos.
Console Release Date
We’re also pleased to share that Drill Core will be available for PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles on 28th April.
Both the Machine World DLC and free Specialist update will be available on April 28th, alongside console releases.
