In the last devlog we were talking about walls, bricks and a blueprint system. Currently, we are still working on improvements to said system by increasing its possibilities and making it more user friendly.

We are posting daily updates from development on our Discord Server.

This blueprint system allows us to be very flexible during the creation. It includes manipulating size, the various axes in space, fitting, auto-fitting, and distancing construction elements to another and more.

We discussed the Grid and Scale system in more detail HERE.

We believe it might need some explanation of how it's supposed to look like in the end by the example.

In Dreamhouse: The Game, we are playing as construction entrepreneur. To build a single wall with a door and window, we will need to go through few steps:

  1. Create a project of a wall with a blueprint system. Since we want to have a door and window in a said wall, we need to leave holes to fit them.

  2. Buy materials in the shop or take it from our magazine (material storage will be a thing to countermeasure demand&supply. We want to earn money in this game)

  3. Recieve said materials on the construction site.

  4. Move material and fit it into a blueprint. We skip the construction process's nuances to focus on the design and tycoon part of the game.

  5. Realise we forgot to make a hole for a window - take a hammer and make it (we lost money on material this way, so be careful! Mistakes cost)

  6. Continue the process with the possibility of making walls like this and more

We can shape the size of a brick in the wall. There will be a possibility to remove a chosen brick. The construction system will be further developed and improved in the upcoming months.
