Hey there, welcome to another Dreadwinter devlog! ːsteamhappyː

We've got new content in all sorts of places, so let's get right into it! ːluvː

MerryAutumn Coffee House

You can now visit the MerryAutumn Coffee House!

MerryAutumn is the world's leading producer of coffee beans and coffee machines, and their café isn't anything to scoff at as well!

When you visit, you can buy Little D-Mons, which if you remember, help you brew and serve coffee, as well as the Espresso bar, which can let you develop your espresso into lattes, cappuccinos, and more!

On wednesday evenings, there's a rogue D-Mon selling MerryAutumn coffee beans in limited amounts, but if you visit MerryAutumn, you'll be able to buy as much as you want!

You can also acquire the MerryAutumn café theme for yourself!

MerryAutumn is located in Neo Solara, which you can travel to by taking the Sky Train in Lunara, once you've purchased a rail pass.

Gelado & Co Expansion

Gelado & Co now has a second floor!

There isn't much there for now, but it will eventually have a lot more in stock.

Right now, there are new machines you can buy for the cafe, which I'll get into a bit later, and the plan is to have a fashion section, where you can buy clothes, accessories, and change your appearance.

New Machines

So there are a few new machines that are available to use. First, we have the auto drink maker, which lets you make any coffee-based drink, as long as you provide it with coffee grounds.

Bear in mind that it will only produce standard quality drinks, which will limit the sale price. This machine is more about making lots of drinks, rather than good ones, which may or may not be to your benefit.

Then we have the Espresso Machine, which can produce espresso, and nothing else. You'll need to buy the Espresso Bar to do any more than that. There's also the Auto-Espresso Machine, which is faster, but again will only produce plain espresso.

Gifting

I think I've already talked about the gifting system, but there's been a few updates that I'd like to go over.

First, you'll be given a gifting box early on in the game. Once it's placed in the cafe, you can give it a drink, and it will be sent to a townsperson of your choice (Dread, Winter, and Elysa, for example).

Each character has their own flavour profile that they like, which is some combination of sweet, bitter and milky. The more flavours that you match, the more they will like the drink, which will increase your bond with them.

If you manage to get the complete opposite of what they like, you'll decrease your bond, so be careful! You can find out what they like by talking to them, or people that know them well. Or you can guess, it's up to you!

MerryAutumn also sells a coffee bean that doubles the gift value of your drink, so make sure to have some in stock!

Adopt-a-Spook

Adopt-a-Spook is a seasonal event that occurs during the Spooky Season! If you head into town on this day, you'll be able to adopt some spooky new pets!

They will only be available to adopt during this event, so make sure to have some money saved if you want them.

Here's a few that I've made so far, and there's more on the way!

My personal favourite is Lord Chonkington, a vampire hamster. I'm not entirely sure if they're wearing a beret, or a flat cap, but it's pretty stylish either way. ːsteamsunnyː

Oddly enough, despite having both legs and wings, Lord Chonkington prefers to get around by rolling.

There's also more "regular" pets being added, such as this dapper duck.

Initially, you can have up to 2 pets hanging out in the café, but by expanding Dreadwinte r and adding more space, you'll be allowed to add more.

There's also an animal sanctuary that can be built, which will keep any additional pets you have.

It kinda felt like I didn't do a lot this month, but looking at this devlog, it might not be that bad. Adding the new pets definitely energised me, so hopefully I can push through a bit more next month! ːsteamthumbsupː
