Drawn To Power changes
A few days ago we released the demo for Drawn To Power, thank you to everyone who jumped in and shared feedback.
After reviewing early play data, it was clear that one of our core mechanics, discarding cards to generate energy and enable combos, wasn’t fully coming through in the starting experience.
This update focuses on making that playstyle more visible and rewarding from the very beginning.
Core Mechanic Improvements
Several starter cards now have added effects when discarded:
Basic Attack → Gain +1 Resilience when discarded
Basic Defend → Gain +1 Strength when discarded
Focus → Gain +1 Stamina when discarded
Mighty Morsel → If discarded as your last card, draw 2 cards
These changes should make discard-driven strategies more immediately impactful and open up stronger combo turns earlier in a run.
Balance Adjustments
To support the stronger player scaling, some enemies have been adjusted:
- Killer RabbitMax HP increased
- Goblin SquireIncreased armor
Goblin Grunt: Higher defend chance
- Skeleton ArcherIncreased max HP
We’ll continue monitoring balance as players explore these new interactions.
Progression Changes
Increased skill points gained per battle
Reduced entry cost for some cards
These changes aim to give players more flexibility in shaping their builds.
Bug Fixes
Fixed issues related to continuing runs
We expect more balance updates as we gather feedback — if you’ve tried the demo, we’d love to hear how these changes feel, especially around the discard system.
