DragonMirroreD with Hyoga & Magma changes
Hey, it's Hyoga the Juggling Dragon.
I've been really busy lately with all these performance events...
Steam post imageBut don't worry—I'm still testing "DragonMirroreD" properly.
Anyway, today I’d like to share another announcement regarding Version 2.0.0.
Take a look here!
Ta-da!
Amazing! Achievements have been added!! There are 40 of them.
Although, since the tool I’m using—RPG Maker—requires some technical work to link achievements with Steam, I’m sorry to say that they’re currently implemented as achievements that can only be viewed within the game.
Since I added these achievements after the game was released, there are a few issues with flag management. If you continue the game, it will start with no achievements unlocked.
If you start the game by continuing from a save, you can talk to “Sawayako”—who tells you about updates—to get all the achievements you should have earned up to that point.
(If you haven’t reached Sawayako yet, please keep playing until you get there…!)
Even with this method, there are a few more issues: there are a few achievements that cannot be earned unless you re-experience certain events that you went through before the update.
For example, the achievement “Read all the diaries inside the house”.
Even if you had already read all the diaries before the update, you cannot earn the achievement unless you read them again.
There’s nothing I can do about this one… I’m sorry, but please forgive me.
(To be precise, since the diaries in the “Underground Passage” and “Theater” were already flagged, you can unlock the achievement simply by reading the diaries in the ‘Dungeon’ and “Treasure Chamber.”)
However, for events that you’ve supposedly already experienced but must go through again, achievement hints will always appear.
I figure if you’ve been through it once, you’ll recognize it… so please use that as a clue and look for them again!
By the way, unlike in most games, you can unlock achievements as many times as you like.
Also, there are no achievements that become impossible to unlock as you progress through the game. (You’re guaranteed to unlock them all in a single playthrough.)
I think I’ll be able to release the update by the end of April, so please hang in there just a little longer!
