addedWe have great news to share; Red Level Games as a studio and Dragon: The Game as a product are taking the next steps to become wildly successful.Dragon may soon be getting a new development partner who can bring some real horsepower to the table. We’re close to making a deal to bring in some talented developers who can get things done much faster than I can. Putting us back in a position to make continued updates. • As some of you may have heard, we recently partnered with another developer to improve our development strategy. This includes supporting Dragon's team as well as preparing for future titles. This is an exciting step for Red Level Games as a studio and provides resources and opportunity for Dragon, as well.
addedNext StepsWe’re reaching the end of our Kickstarter funds and are rounding out our Kickstarter development goals. While shy of our grand ambitions, we’re still very close to having the best action-RPG/dragon simulator on the market. In the past 10 months or so we’ve added: • Saving and loading characters • Upgradable abilities and stats • Customizable/Craftable breath weapons, armor, claws, tail • Day/Night cycle with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. • New shaders and an update color and effects palette • Flying physics and flying controls update • Stamina and fatigue effects • Hunger/eating system for leveling up • Combat physics, charge and trample, and critical hits • Archers who launch projectiles • Morale, fleeing, bravery update for NPCS • Combat updates: armor and weapons pose unique threats • World and terrain update, new map (with another new map on the way) The next steps are to polish, polish, bug fix and add more content. Yes, we have many performance tweaks and some bugs to fix until we can celebrate. It feels great to have expanded the scope of Dragon’s play beyond what we promised for the funds raised. Our goal for 2017 is to get Dragon into a fun, repeatedly playable state ; something you can enjoy for hours and hours and are proud of supporting. Something foundational that you can be proud of. Something that excites publishers and investors who want to fund our inspired vision for Dragon and all of its sequels and expansions. We have a lot of undeployed and under-deployed content and I’m confident that with a vision centered on what you the players want, a talented developer, and some patience from our players we can get Dragon to where we need it to be. We'll be releasing the next update in a week or so along with patch notes and an update on Dragon’s 2017 funding and the opportunities ahead of us. -Grant
