DownhillMadness changes
DownhillMadness is ready for launch on Feb 27th! This 3rd update before launch includes a lot of polishing, bug fixes, and several new levels. Here is a full list of the changes in this sizable update:
Redid tutorial text to include controller buttons in explanations
Forcefield dropper can shoot even if you have zero money
Improved arcade tab information window to be smaller and located correctly
ZigZagMini doorway moved to not block name
Made mouse sensitivity 1/5th as powerful (the number listed exhibits 1/5th the sensitivity it previously did)
10x now says 10x+ in the tab scoresheet
Added "drop columns" and "plant tree" functionality to default controller bindings
Fixed so 'current' 10x+ counter also stops at 5 minutes as listed
Put in missing goal area in tubes catcher
Fixed the gateway for the wheatfield map so it warps correctly
Fixed lazyspiral map to disallow direct-shot to the 10x
Added double-click feature to lock on autofire, with notification, that appropriately disables when exiting firinghouse or switching to gun that can't shoot
Rockplinko level redone to be twice the size, new fox locations, also with larger boulders instead of small rocks, and a unique pond layout
Junkyard plinko level redone to add covers over 10x pools
Torchplinko level totally redone from scratch to be totally unique and much larger, now called ForestPlinko
Fixed bug where unlocking one door would unlock multiple doors, changed unlock values of some doors slightly
Fixed bug where some doors weren't remembered as being unlocked
Fixed bug where doors became glass material instead of being fully hidden when unlocked
Arcade mode time limit increased from 1 minute to 2 minutes for: TiltedDitch, ZigZag, OpenWorld, all 3 Mountain maps, Lazyvalley, and PipesMountain
Added explanations in the first menu lobby trophy room about how it works across all save files
Fixed broken trophy readout for fastest ball in menu area trophy room, and fixed readout for total number of trophies in first menu lobby area
Only foxes discovered in adventure mode count toward trophies, but in arcade mode they now each give a ₸500 bonus!
Fixed zigzag landscape shadows rendering incorrectly and resized level bounding box
Removed erroneous duplicate 6% round of interest calculation at the end of an arcade mode run
PipeCatcher level now has a wall to prevent direct shots in to the pipes to prevent cheating
Fixed a bug where if an arcade mode game was continued from a savefile, the shuffle list would be regenerated, causing repeats of levels
Fixed a bug where it would say "new medal" at the beginning even if you already had platinum completed
Added a "credits" back wall in the main menu lobby, thanks for the beta test help Kirk!
Added new "warp to lobby" button in the UI menu, made it work with gamepad, and it warps to correct location regardless of gamemode
Fixed bug where if you played adventure, then played arcade, it would warp to the adventure exit you used last after arcade was over, which would trigger training because savegame number was not set properly due to not going through a savegame doorway because of the unexpected warping. Now the warp location is set properly after arcade ends
Moved the starting spawn location on each level closer to the guns and made it a standardized location in the firinghouse for every level
Each adventure mode savefile has its own independent list of foxes that have been discovered
Added foxes plinth to the level selection area, and another to the main menu lobby, and another in front of the training mode gate, to indicate how many foxes have been found on those maps
Added 'delete' button on the floor for arcade mode savefiles, and added a fancy UI popup in 3D space for it when you stand on the delete button, and refresh the displays for the savefiles when it's complete and shows popup confirming deletion
Added physics cubes in firinghouse area for fun
Added huge fractal underworld to wheatfieldmap and put 2 of the foxes on it, also increased the size of the scoring area and multiplier hoops
Fixed bug where 1x would sometimes count as a 10x
Created 3 new huge unique maps: FractalHills, FractalRivers, WorldMap. Placed foxes, added multiplier hoops, and added scoring areas to all of them. Added portals in the menu map, and added them to arcade rotation.
Gave 2 minutes on arcade for all the new maps, and added wheatfiled back to arcade rotation along with new maps for total of 32 levels.
Mousewheel use caused blower gun to always fire, regardless of gun, Now works properly
Fixed some sounds not attached to menu volume knobs
Adjusted fox trophy area to have 105 total foxes due to new levels
