❄ Approaching Early Access Launch ❄
It’s finally happening.
Hi everyone,
After a long journey, we’re getting very close to launching Don’t Freeze into Early Access on 30 March 2026 at 2:00 PM CST.
This is just the beginning. The version you’ll be playing at launch already contains the core survival experience, but there’s still a lot more we want to build, refine, and discover together with you.
⸻
🎮 What to Expect in Early Access
At launch, Don’t Freeze is focused on delivering a tight survival experience built around meaningful decision-making.
You’ll be:
Managing hunger, thirst, warmth, and sanity
Exploring different locations to gather resources and uncover clues
Crafting, repairing, and planning ahead to survive the cold
Dealing with limited time, limited inventory, and harsh consequences
The game is designed so that you’re always making trade-offs:
Do you go out for one more resource, or play it safe and survive the night?
On top of that, the meta progression system allows each run to feel different, letting you shape the difficulty of your next attempt.
⸻
🎁 Early Access Bonus: First Frostbreakers
When the game launches, all Early Access players can unlock the First Frostbreakers achievement.
Obtain the Thawed Smartphone from the frozen bottle and be among the first to hold this mystery in your hands.
Players who unlock this will also receive a future exclusive item.
⸻
🚧 What Comes Next
We have a lot planned for Don’t Freeze during Early Access.
This includes:
New locations and items
More systems and mechanics
Expanded narrative elements
UI/UX improvements and balancing
But more importantly, we’ll be listening closely to your feedback and adjusting our plans along the way. That’s the whole reason we’re launching in Early Access.
⸻
