changedOkay, that's not 100% accurate, but we've finished Shizuru Stage 2 combat. Now we move on to testing. Meanwhile, the artist is working on figuring out the art for the Stage 3 combat and we should have a spicy surprise in store for next month when we reveal how that'll work. This month, we talk about Stage 2 and why it's shaping up the way it is.
changedLast month, we showed the feedback we'd been receiving since the release of our demo. The most surprising result was Jitsuko's dominance battle being the favorite by far. Like 50% of all votes. This was even more surprising when you factor in that Tomie scored the highest in visual design. We looked at the few written responses we got and talked to some of our own testers to see what we could learn from this. The result: near as we can figure, it comes down to people preferring the pov style of art. So we took that lesson to heart for Shizuru. Here's a first look at her Stage 2 combat:
changedHer combat style is more aggressive than the base game girls, since her theme in Femdom Lines was originally CBT. This means she'll use lots of buffs and do serious damage. On top of that, there's a nasty little surprise I'm gonna let you in on: most defensive options don't work against her. Aside from shielding yourself, the player really only has one option and that's defeating her before she defeats you. Then again, maybe you'll want to lose a couple times just to repeat the fight.
changedNext month, we reveal what twists Stage 3 will have in store. Then we move on to testing Stage 3 while working on the story scenes. We're not close to done, but the end is in sight.
