Dear Scavengers!
As we countdown the final days of 2025, the entire team behind Doloc Town wants to wish all our beloved townies a Merry Christmas and a fantastic New Year!
2025 has been an absolutely landmark year for Doloc Town. After years of dedicated development, our game finally launched into Early Access on Steam - and we’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible feedback pouring in from players ever since.
To celebrate this journey, we’ve put together this year-end recap to look back on all we’ve accomplished, and to share a sneak peek at what’s in store for the future.
Early Access Launch: A Milestone Worth Remembering
May 8th, 2025 is a date that will forever be etched in our team’s memory. On that day, the girl in the welding mask fell from the valley and stepped into Doloc Town, marking the official start of our Early Access journey - four years in the making.
Major Updates & Quality-of-Life Improvements
Throughout 2025, Doloc Town rolled out two major content updates and one game-changing QoL patch, plus 17 optimization hotfixes since launch, all crafted to refine your gameplay experience.
Late August: Pastoral Waves Update
We welcomed a brand-new townie to the fold, alongside the long-awaited ranching system that breathed new life into the heart of Doloc.
Late November: Thrive & Ties Update
This update expanded our world with rich new NPC storylines, 4 exclusive furniture sets, 6 stylish new head gears, and much more - turning Doloc Town into a bigger, more vibrant community than ever before.
Late September: Quality-of-Life Overhaul
To be fair, this was one of our most impactful updates yet. We tackled the top community-reported issues head-on, including shared storage and more! These tweaks have made Doloc Town more intuitive and enjoyable than ever - so if you stepped away after the initial launch, now’s the perfect time to jump back in!
Your Support Lights Our Way
The charm of Doloc Town isn’t just in its farms and town streets - it’s in you, our amazing community.
In 2025, we hosted a series of community-focused events, including our Hat Creation Event, where players came together to share their creative ideas. Every submission was compiled into our official resource library, and some of these incredible community creations from China early on even made their way into the Thrive & Ties Update!
We firmly believe that with your help, Doloc Town will continue to grow and flourish for years to come.
A huge thank-you also goes out to the volunteers behind our Community Localization Project - your hard work is helping us bringing Doloc Town to players all around the globe. And there is no way we could make it without you.
To top it off, in the second half of 2025, we partnered with fellow indie developers to launch game bundles, introducing Doloc Town to a wider audience of pixel art and farming sim fans. We’re endlessly grateful for these opportunities to connect with even more potential players.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we close the book on 2025, we’re already hard at work planning what’s next - and our core goal remains the same: to deliver a polished, fully complete Doloc Town experience for our 1.0 release.
As teased in recent dev logs, we’ve adjusted our original Early Access roadmap to align with our latest development progress. Rest assured, all changes will be shared with the community in advance to keep our process transparent every step of the way.

New Additions
A new gift redemption feature has been added to the telephone booth. Head to the Year-End Warm-Up to find the redeem codes!
Optimization & Adjustments
Adjusted the lighting effects in the Alchemy's bedroom.
The special produce section and the drop item section in the wikipedia now support viewing details via floating windows.
BUG Fixes
Fixed an issue where the "Botanical Research" quest from the Rico Mountain faction may not trigger properly.
Fixed an issue where floating windows in the wikipedia panel stayed abnormally.
Fixed an incorrect device type of the Log Display Stand.
Fixed an issue where the Farm Sprayer could apply regular fertilizers to the Vertical Planter Rack.
Fixed the abnormal subsequent submission behavior caused by submitting chips or crops for the first time outside the Archive.
Fixed the incorrect progress value display of the River Valley Clearing Quest.
Fixed the layer abnormality issue of the protagonist while driving the motorcycle.
Fixed some text-related issues.
