■ Bug Fixes & Changes

We've identified and resolved a number of issues reported by the community as well as bugs found internally.

  • UI

    • Fixed an issue where a hint UI was displayed at the bottom of the story progress when starting a new game.

    • Fixed an issue where the player name and date overlapped on the player data selection screen.

    • Fixed an issue where the HP/Stamina UI would not appear after being revived the next day following a death by an active monster while lying in a sleeping bag.

    • Fixed an issue where the scroll position was not reset to the top when entering certain screens. (Multiplayer menu re-entry / Licence application)

    • Fixed an issue where text overflowed from the UI when pressing the journal button before obtaining the journal in a new game. (Portuguese)

    • Fixed an issue where the language of food icons would not change after changing the language following food consumption.

    • Fixed an issue where the third Daily Milestone UI was displayed differently from other UI elements. (When reward points are 400)

    • Fixed an issue where the coin image and text flickered when moving while using the specimen book.

    • Fixed an issue where on-screen control hints did not match the actual controls.

    • Fixed an issue where the Windmill item description overflowed in certain languages. (German, etc.)

    • Removed the Back button from the map screen.

    • Updated the player data selection screen so that the name and date no longer overlap when the player name is too long.

  • Controls

    • Fixed an issue where the cursor was visible on the Korean age rating screen.

    • Fixed an issue where the preview object would intermittently remain visible after cancelling during furniture placement.

    • Fixed an issue where the first sell button input was ignored upon entering the Journal > Animals tab.

    • Fixed an issue where the player would intermittently clip through the ground when teleporting.

    • Fixed an issue where the cursor appeared at its previous position instead of the chat box when opening the chat feature.

    • Fixed an issue where the cursor moved to the centre when navigating to the emote menu in the chat feature.

    • Fixed an issue where the next page button could be pressed in Creative Mode when there were fewer than 2 item pages.

    • Changed the button for the Lawnmower's "Change Blade" function from B to A. (Hint updated accordingly)

  • Multiplayer

    • Fixed an issue where snap controls were activated even in areas without buttons when the host deleted the room while a guest had the journal open.

    • Changed the behaviour when attempting to host a multiplayer session without access to certain network features — instead of returning to the main title, the relevant system popup will now be displayed. (No internet connection / Nintendo Account not linked / Nintendo Online not active)

    • Changed the cursor to always be positioned on the Host tab when re-entering the multiplayer menu after returning to the main title.

    • Changed the behaviour so that clients running a different version from the host can no longer connect.

    • Fixed an issue where synchronisation lag in multiplayer under low network quality would not resolve even after network quality improved.

  • Graphics

    • Removed the kite tail to resolve an issue where it appeared separated from the kite.

    • Changed the maximum supported frame rate from 30fps to 60fps.

    • Changed shadows to also appear in handheld mode.

    • Fixed an issue where objects appeared to be floating in mid-air.

  • Other

    • Fixed an issue where joystick inputs for UI navigation were being ignored or delayed.

Until next time — we hope everyone has a wonderful Dinkum life!
