changedWe've got a LOT to announce, but first-- Thank you all for taking our survey! We've had a lot of responses, and the team has been responding by going to town making more quality-of-life changes, balance adjustments, bug fixes and more!
changed2) Fixing Various Minor Bugs/Quality of Life Options2a) Users have reported a variety of minor-game impacting bugs (alongside some rare major ones)-- thank you for letting us know! We're working on fixing everything reported, and more. Some examples include the ranking system's flow, disconnections and slowdowns caused by supers.
changed2) Fixing Various Minor Bugs/Quality of Life OptionsWe are also including much more quality of life options in the future, including graphics options, more intuitive UI flow for the Juice Bar and Traditional Menus, and better button/macro mapping. Let us know if there's anything else that would help you or others access the game easier!
changed3) Overall Balance3a) Users have noted frustration dealing with certain moves. While we want to keep the game in a competitive state for longtime play, we also want to ensure the game is accessible so newcomers don't get steamrolled by single-dimension (read: degenerate) gameplay. We already showed a bit of this with changes to Ruby prior to the demo launch and a post-launch patch addressing Dieselmech's armor.
changed3) Overall BalanceWe have a LOT more coming to further tune characters, but we ultimately will do a major balance pass once all of the base characters have been fully fleshed out. For now, we're experimenting with what we think would be the most fun for everyone.
addedEVO 2024 AnnouncementWe're excited to say that we're going to be at EVO 2024 on July 19-21, revealing even more new characters! Keep an eye out soon when we announce everything we've got planned.

Citizens,

We've got a LOT to announce, but first-- Thank you all for taking our survey! We've had a lot of responses, and the team has been responding by going to town making more quality-of-life changes, balance adjustments, bug fixes and more!

In this update, we'll be quickly going over:

  • Top 4 Survey Takeaways

  • CEO 2024 Tournament Results

  • EVO 2024 Announcement

Top 4 Survey Takeaways

1) Needs Higher-Level Tutorialization

1a) We had quite a bit of feedback about the lack of higher-level tutorialization (specific character guides, combo structure, etc). For the full release of the game, we are intending on having tutorials, combo trials and much more as a part of the base product!

In addition, We are currently creating and releasing thorough beginner-to-intermediate tutorials which are being released via our socials (follow them!), which are definitely worth a watch while waiting for the next playable.

2) Fixing Various Minor Bugs/Quality of Life Options

2a) Users have reported a variety of minor-game impacting bugs (alongside some rare major ones)-- thank you for letting us know! We're working on fixing everything reported, and more. Some examples include the ranking system's flow, disconnections and slowdowns caused by supers.

We are also including much more quality of life options in the future, including graphics options, more intuitive UI flow for the Juice Bar and Traditional Menus, and better button/macro mapping. Let us know if there's anything else that would help you or others access the game easier!

3) Overall Balance

3a) Users have noted frustration dealing with certain moves.

We have a LOT more coming to further tune characters, but we ultimately will do a major balance pass once all of the base characters have been fully fleshed out. For now, we're experimenting with what we think would be the most fun for everyone.

4) More Characters

4a) There was a wide call on our feedback form to have more characters-- and as you could have probably told with the empty character select screen, we have a few more on the way! Each character from here until launch is getting wilder and more aesthetically diverse than the last-- no spoilers yet, but we want you to hold us at the highest standard when we say we've got crazier than the hulking metal mech coming up!
