addedDie in the Dungeon 1.0 launches in just one week on May 1st !Before we dive into today's new reveals, let's do a quick recap of what we shared in our last update featuring Nera, our newest playable character!
addedDie in the Dungeon 1.0 launches in just one week on May 1st !Nera is a shy but talented Dice Knight who is searching for her mentor, Cinder. Her unique playstyle focuses on the new Parry modifier , allowing you to turn your defense into a powerful offense by reflecting damage. Keep reading here if you want more details!
added📈 Progression SystemWe have a brand-new progression system ! Now, every run matters, even if it ends in defeat. At the end of every adventure, your frogs will gain experience and unlock new, unique items that are permanently added to the loot pool. But it's not just dice and relics , you'll also uncover new lore fragments that will help you understand a bit more about the story behind Die in the Dungeon. And if you manage to reach the final level with any character... well, let's just say you will be able to add a touch of gold to your future runs!
added📖 Codex and LoreThe world of Die in the Dungeon holds many secrets , and now you'll have a place to study them. We've updated the Codex with lots of new entries for each enemy , including their habitat, suspected place of origin and final notes from the Dungeon Explorers Volunteer Society (D.E.V.S, for short). To unlock these new pages, you'll have to defeat enemies in specific ways during your runs. Who knows, maybe there's more than meets the eye in these fragments of information?
added💪 D8 DifficultyFor those who find the usual dungeon crawl too easy, we're finally introducing: D8 difficulty! This is the final difficulty level of the game and presents a steeper challenge than anything that came before: the Decadent Deck . This deck gets its name from the brand-new property found in your starting dice. The Decadent property is a double-edged sword, giving your dice an extra boost in the early battles while slowly degrading their power over time . Only those who can craft the perfect deck on the fly will be able to conquer this challenge!
added🔍 A Secret Quest… and a True Ending! Now, we have something for the most observant players: a new secret quest will be introduced in the game! Of course, we won't spoil anything for now, but completing it will require you to follow certain steps during your run. If you manage to do it right, you'll be rewarded with a new type of relic and at the end... a new boss even stronger than the Mosquito Duke! Are you ready to uncover the true ending of your journey through the dungeon?

📖 Codex and Lore

The world of Die in the Dungeon holds many secrets, and now you'll have a place to study them. We've updated the Codex with lots of new entries for each enemy, including their habitat, suspected place of origin and final notes from the Dungeon Explorers Volunteer Society (D.E.V.S, for short). To unlock these new pages, you'll have to defeat enemies in specific ways during your runs. Who knows, maybe there's more than meets the eye in these fragments of information?

💪 D8 Difficulty

For those who find the usual dungeon crawl too easy, we're finally introducing: D8 difficulty! This is the final difficulty level of the game and presents a steeper challenge than anything that came before: the Decadent Deck. This deck gets its name from the brand-new property found in your starting dice. The Decadent property is a double-edged sword, giving your dice an extra boost in the early battles while slowly degrading their power over time. Only those who can craft the perfect deck on the fly will be able to conquer this challenge!

🔍 A Secret Quest… and a True Ending!

🐸 A Frog Reporter Reveal!?

And before we go, we recently got hold of a revealing picture, captured by none other than the Frog Reporter himself! Apparently, this was captured just as Cinder was about to enter the dungeon...

...can you guess what this frame is a part of? 🤔
