changedMOBILE AND CONSOLE PROGRESSAs you can see, there's not a whole lot left to do, but there are still some things I need to take care of, plus then going through the verification process on each platform/store. Please remember it's just me on the team at this moment, and I'm doing everything I can to get the game to all your devices ASAP!
added1.1 COMING...?If you remember back in March, I told you I already had plans for a new ending and a lot of new stuff, but in the meantime I've been developing a lot of smaller ideas in my mind, and since some of my big plans would take too much time to do while also porting the game at the same time... I've decided to first make a more grounded update, focused on new stuff to do, new items, and a bunch of QoL improvements.
added1.1 COMING...?One thing I want to expand on is dice that aren't cubes or one-faced. I realized the majority of dice in the game are either D3, D6, or straight up not dice (Emeralds, Spintops, etc). Because of that, I want this update to focus on bringing a bunch of new D4, D2 (coins) and a lot more unusual shaped dice!
added1.1 COMING...?Take a look at this new Bamboo D4 for example. It's part of a new "set" of D4 which will parallel Iron, Golden and Diamond Die.

So... four months of Dice A Million huh?!

The time of the month has come... so gather all up my fellow dice rollers, and let's talk about the future of this little game we all love... and hate a little sometimes.

MOBILE AND CONSOLE PROGRESS

Last month there wasn't a Diceletter, mostly because I was still waiting on stuff I needed for the console/mobile ports. But I'm very happy to announce that I've been making a lot of progress recently!

I initially wanted to release on mobile first, but since those versions had some unexpected challenges during testing, and console stuff was quicker than I thought, my goal now is to release on every platform at the same time, including: Android, iOS, macOS, XBOX Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and Switch. Yeah... that's a LOT. Here's a quick rundown on how I'm doing on each platform:

🟡Android/iOS: Running fine, needs some optimization, menu adaption almost done

🟢macOS: Completed

🔵XBOX: needs testing but mostly complete

🟡PS4: needs testing

🟢PS5: Completed

🟠Switch: needs optimization

As you can see, there's not a whole lot left to do, but there are still some things I need to take care of, plus then going through the verification process on each platform/store. Please remember it's just me on the team at this moment, and I'm doing everything I can to get the game to all your devices ASAP!

But that's not all I've been doing...

1.1 COMING...?

You're reading correctly!!! Yes!!! I'm planning to release Dice A Million's first FREE content update, 1.1, over the course of the summer!!

If you remember back in March, I told you I already had plans for a new ending and a lot of new stuff, but in the meantime I've been developing a lot of smaller ideas in my mind, and since some of my big plans would take too much time to do while also porting the game at the same time... I've decided to first make a more grounded update, focused on new stuff to do, new items, and a bunch of QoL improvements.

One thing I want to expand on is dice that aren't cubes or one-faced. I realized the majority of dice in the game are either D3, D6, or straight up not dice (Emeralds, Spintops, etc). Because of that, I want this update to focus on bringing a bunch of new D4, D2 (coins) and a lot more unusual shaped dice!

Take a look at this new Bamboo D4 for example. It's part of a new "set" of D4 which will parallel Iron, Golden and Diamond Die.

Similar idea to Iron Die, but for extra value.

Here's a QoL thing I had planned for the original release, but didn't have the time to do so... Welcome collection sorting!

Steam post image You'll be able to do reverse sorting as well!

Again, this update will focus on bringing you some fresh new fun ideas into the game, rather than expanding the lore or the paths, even though there will be a bit of that... Let me know what kind of stuff you want to see too!

My goal is to release this 1.1 Update on all platforms at the same time, coinciding with the release of their ports. I can't give a date yet since I depend on verification processes and whatnot, but I definitely want it out before Autumm hits, so expect more info in the coming weeks/months :)

MY NEXT GAME...?!

Apart from Dice A Million... I've been working on my next game very sparsely. Even tho I'm excited as hell to continue, I've been making sure my attention is more focused on DAM these months, at least until I got all the ports and 1.1 out.

Last Diceletter I talked a bit about this project, so go check it out if you want more info, but reminder that this isn't a dice game nor a roguelike. However, its story happens in the same universe as Dice A Million, while being much more dark and serious (trust me it makes sense lol).

Aaanyways, there's still so much I could share from this project that you haven't seen... But I'm keeping everything to myself til I'm happy enough to release a trailer and/or a demo.

However... I think I'd like to show you how the game feels this time around, so here's the main menu music. Hope you enjoy the vibe.
