Hey all! I heard you loud and clear, difficulty needs some adjustment. So I made some changes.

changedThis is the first balance patch, I know a lot of you mentioned bosses being harsh in your comments, but I decided to focus on dice and general balance for this first update.
addedI'm still thinking on how to implement a mechanic that lets you reroll bosses, since I feel like that would be the best way to tackle this problem, but for now, I'll let you guys tell me if you find this new version more forgiving overall! (I did nerf a couple of bosses tho ;)) The major thing I did here is the first line in the general balance section. It may not seem like much but trust me that makes the whole experience sooo much smoother.
changedNote: some of the changes are not still properly translated to any languages besides english and spanish but I decided to prioritize gameplay changes first, so you'll see them in english for now, hope you don't mind!

General Balance:

  • Starter dice (Bottlecap, D3, D4 and D6) can no longer appear in any rewards or shops during a run

  • Dice in shops/rewards now slightly up in rarity as you progress through the run

  • Tweaked the code that spawns extra dice, should be behaving more consistently with dice like dumbbell

  • Extra dice spawned from other dice now inherit their extra value (i.e. Die of Dice)

  • Dice Rush now resets effects from the previous boss when going into the next one (like fires from Pyro, deactivations from Capricious, and etc)

  • Some bosses like The Patient, The Gluton and The Cautious can no longer appear in Dice Rush

Dice Balance:

  • Pocket Pencil buffed from 4X to 6X

  • Foam Dice now gives +5 extra value to nearby dice, as well as exhausting them

  • Ancient Die now guarantees a legendary die

  • Made Fibonacci's Die limit higher (previously it was 610, now it's 1597)

  • D10 buffed from +1 to +2 extra value per die on the table

  • Red Giant buffed from +1 to +3 face value per trigger

  • Ivory Die buffed from +0.1 to +0.2 stamp multiplier

  • Ink Die buffed from +0.2 to +0.5 stamp multiplier

  • Wooden Die buffed from +2 to +4 extra value

  • Magic Sponge now removes curses from dice, but destroys itself when it does so

Ring Balance:

  • Fishbone Charm buffed from +2 to +4 extra value

  • Square Ring now always gives a random card at the start of a new round

Boss Balance:

  • The Frost boss no longer deactivates one of your dice

  • The Envious got reworked. Its previous effect is now its plus version, the normal one now discards dice that rolled their highest face, making it quite less punishing.

  • The Copycat got reworked. Its previous effect is now its plus version, the normal one now divides dice with a repeated face by the number of dice with that face, making it like an inverse version of the Equivalent Link ring.

  • The Cautious boss can no longer spawn on Yellow Hand runs

Hands Balance:

  • White Hand now starts with 2 less D3

Bugfixes:

  • Echo didn't work on Fibonacci's Die

  • Fibonacci's Die didn't work with Conservative Ring despite having 6 faces

  • Casino Die effect didn't work as intended when using the One Ring

  • The Frost boss always froze 0 on Fibonacci's Die, regardless of your current face layout

  • Certain hand couldn't get intended dice at the start

  • Fixed an error on the French translation regarding Haste Ring (and other minor ones)

  • Fixed a couple of color errors on the Russian translation

  • Fixed a visual bug on the dice score popup

  • Magic 8 Ball didn't work properly with Sudoku, Bottle of Caps and other specific combos

  • Fixed a crash when checking the map on a certain really advanced purple place

  • No flashbang mode didn't affect certain flashbang cutscenes

  • Fixed a crash involving NaNeinf and Vampire Die

  • Fixed a softlock when using a Choose Face card with a dice too low in your selection

  • Fixed the phone round end popup still briefly appearing when Skip Animations setting is on

  • Fixed rings being able to appear on chests on the Ringless challenge

  • Fixed a crash when pressing rb and lb at the same time on a controller
