We’d like to share a series of posts coming your way with short explanations of how the game works and what you can expect from DFIANCE: DOMINANCE

Want a quick look at how matches play out? Here’s a simplified breakdown:

  • Build your deck using UNITS, HEROES, and SPELLS

  • At the start of your turn, gain 3 Action Points and 1 Mana (you can save Mana for later turns) - but not only mana, any resources can be saved for the next turn.

  • Control areas on the battlefield to earn DOMINATE points (previously called action points. to control a row/area, you'll need to have more power than your opponent at the beginning of your turn)

  • Your UNITS and HEROES contribute their POWER to your total score [total score = sum of total current power (atp) + the dominance (action points you won through the game)

  • After 10 turns, the player with the higher score wins [not only that. after 10 turns, the last stand starts

Core Mechanics:

Hero Call - A key leader ability that lets you search for any HERO in your deck. This improves consistency and opens up strategic timing plays-use it as a toolbox to respond to specific situations.

On Deploy Abilities (ETB) - Some cards activate effects immediately when played:

  • These abilities trigger instantly upon deployment

  • Visual effects clearly show targets and impact during gameplay

This is just the surface -there are many more mechanics, synergies, and strategies to explore.
