Deukdo Beat changes
IMPROVEMENTS
- Chapter 3 "The Peak"Completely renewed! It is practically a brand new chapter.
- Chapter 5 "The Celestial Gates"Improved gameplay flow by removing the AD Reversal gimmick in the early section.
- Chapter Balance & SyncImproved monster sync and timing in Chapter 4, E1, and E2. Also improved the start timing sync of all in-game BGMs.
- Gameplay MechanicsThe PERFECT judgment timing window has been tightened for better accuracy, and the score calculation logic has been slightly adjusted.
- Stage Scene ControlsAdded full keyboard control. You can now select chapters using the Up/Down arrows (and W/S), and press the Right arrow (or D), Enter, or Space to Ready/Start. Steam post image
- Help Menu UpdateAlong with the key guide, we added instructions to the Help menu clarifying that you can click the Prayer Beads to navigate between Acts.
Quick Restart: Press the 'Space' bar on the Game Over or Chapter Clear screen to return to the Stage Scene, or press 'F5' for an instant restart without opening the ESC menu.
- New AnimationsAdded a returning animation for the AD Reversal gimmick and an attacked sprite for Dark Spirits in E2.
- Improved ResolutionsImproved the resolution of the Game Logo, Prayer Beads, and Prologue images.
Modified Assets: Modified the background in the E1 "Winter Celebration" event stage and the moving hand images in Chapter 7.
- SFX UpdateAdded a first-hit sound effect for Knockback monsters, along with various other SFX. A new toy has been added to the Stage Scene!
- Text UILanguage-specific text UI improvements have been made, including better line breaks, nameplates, and the UI text that appears when entering a new Act for both the Stage Scene and in-game.
BUG FIXES
- GameplayFixed an issue where inputting a key before the countdown finishes would incorrectly trigger a "Miss".
- WASD SortingFixed an issue where WASD Dark Spirits were not properly sorted by direction.
- Shadow WraithsFixed a bug where Shadow Wraiths would instantly die and trigger a sound effect upon entering the Game Scene.
- Stage Scene Death BugFixed a bug where mashing WASD after returning to the Stage Scene from the Game Scene would cause the player to die.
- UI/VisualsFixed an issue where the Practice Mode checkbox would appear when clicking a locked chapter. Fixed a bug where the game's color saturation would drop significantly upon restarting.
- Text RenderingFixed an issue where Chinese characters would appear broken on the Game Over screen when playing in Korean.
- Prayer Beads Zoom Animation (Windowed Mode)Fixed an issue where clicking the Prayer Beads caused the camera to zoom into an incorrect location.
KNOWN ISSUES UNDER INVESTIGATION
We are currently aware of the following issues and are working on fixing them for the next update:
UI Bug (Windowed Mode): Working on a fix for a black box appearing behind combo numbers when playing in Windowed Mode.
