We’ve been cooking this one for a while (and probably ate too many Calix ourselves along the way). Huge thanks to everyone who sent us feedback, bug reports, and patience. You’ve kept the loop alive, and this update is for you ❤️

Let’s dive right into the chaos:

Monsters:

Fixed Pigman’s delayed targeting and reduced his tracking range.

Duck King now moves faster when chasing targets.

Spud Gunslinger draws faster, shoots faster, and his bullets travel faster.

Shrieker patrol fixed, no more stuck animation; added a static screen effect instead of screen shake, plus a new suction pull effect when it screams

Reworked overall monster perception logic.

Lowered monster spawn density.

Improved patrol logic for monsters.

Items:

Added new throwable: Flashbang Grenade.

Added Revive Gun — bring your friends back from the buffet of doom.

Increased shovel damage.

Adjusted item prices for better balance.

Consumables now display their remaining uses.

Players:

Improved running animation.

Adjusted how weight affects movement speed.

Added Calix drain during overheat sprinting.

Tweaked scanner visuals.

Fixed items not visible in first-person view.

Fixed player facing the wrong direction upon respawn.

Adjusted digestion speed and Calix upload rates.

Maps:

Redesigned the starting map and offering zone.

Portals are now the main level transition method.

The hotel map got ambient audio and model improvements.

Fixed the offering room loading issue.

Fixed missing textures and model bugs.

Fixed shop item display issues.

Fixed the infinite loop generated by a rare bug in maze generation.

UI:

Fixed occasional game freeze when pressing ESC..

Fixed intro CG interaction issue.

Added HUD money display.

Sharpened in-game text clarity.

Gameplay Updates:

You can now collect heat by moving the toilet.

Added player Calix storage limit and Overeat State.

Introduced chewing and vomiting mechanics (for real).

New Mine Event and Meteor Event

Fixed statue reward interaction bug.

Optimization:

Improved memory pooling for faster loading.

Optimized weather and lighting for smoother frame rates.

We know this game is still rough around the edges — it’s built by players, for players. Thanks for giving us your time, patience, and laughs while we shape Desserted into the chaotic co-op survival feast it’s meant to be.
