Desktown changes
A huge thank you to everyone who tried out the Desktown Demo! We've received tons of positive responses, insightful feedback, and helpful bug reports — and we're excited to roll out a new update that improves many parts of the game 🎉
Here’s what’s new:
🏙️ 11 New Automators: 6 in the City era and 5 in Medieval.
🖼️ Move Decorations: You can now reposition decorations after placing them.
📚 Improved Tutorial: Clearer guidance and fewer bugs for smoother onboarding.
🛠️ Bug Fixes:
Fixed overlapping decorations between areas.
Fixed UI buttons (like the menu) not opening properly.
- 🍗 Better Food BalanceMore food automators added — that annoying “Not Enough Food!” message should pop up far less now.
🌍 Translation Improvements: Especially for German, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean — no more tofu (□) characters!
🎵 New Music Tracks: Switched to safer, attribution-free music by Loyalty Freak Music and ESPC — perfect for content creators!
- 🌌 Satellite Typing TipWe added a small indicator to press [SPACE] when entering satellite words.
⚙️ FPS Limit Option: You can now cap the framerate.
...and more tiny improvements we might've forgotten 😅
Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we’re super thankful to have such a great community of players 💛. We’re planning to participate in more festivals, grow our content marketing, and move closer to finalizing the demo!
Stay tuned, The Desktown Team
