A few days ago, one of the most horrible situations that could happen to us as a video game development team happened.

The recently released Murky Diver game is a game inspired by lethal company in 4-player cooperation in which you have to erase traces of corpses in underwater installations.

The fact is that as the developers of Depth Diver, in the process of shaping for months a game, we will have certain design similarities elements from Murky Diver which were not intended to be of course.

In themselves the two games are different. One consists of a unique mission, is indoors, and has very different creatures, and Depth Diver is a game where several missions on behalf of the Metallurgical Union must be accomplished, with many biologically possible creatures.

A Quest in game, however, has the particularity of being a quest where you have to bring back pieces of submarine and human bodies to bear witness to the failure of a mission on the part of other divers. This quest is very similar to the mission in the Murky Diver game.

And this is why we are already seeing accusations of plagiarism coming. It is important to clarify that:

We are in NO WAY plagiarizing Murky Diver, and it is in no way intended that the two games are similar.

We made this game based on our first experience of subnautica, while doing something multiplayer like Phasmophobia.

It was important for us to clarify this thing in order to prepare for the release of Depth Diver as best as possible and avoid problems at that time.

This post is also not an attack on the developers whom we respect very much.

Yours sincerely, and remember to.. Fear the Depth
