Demra: Rifts of War changes
Since a view days the demo page is up and running and you can play the demo.
This is in preparation for the Steam Next Fest participation.
I plan to keep the demo alive for longer and give it regular updates, so your feedback will directly influence further development of the game.
The content of the demo are the first four campaign missions and three skirmish missions that unlock after the first tutorial mission.
If you mainly care about the RTS feeling of the game, i recommend to play the more difficult skirmish maps, they offer a real challenge against the a.i. opponent and you can get a feel for the different upgrades and unit types.
To reach a new tier, you need to select the barracks in the upgrades menu and then select the greenly highlighted outpost on the map.
Some sprites are still placeholders and the aim of the demo is to see if people like this rather exotic mix of grid based unit movement with RTS base building and indirect army commands, which can feel rather restrictive at times.
In the latest build i also finally added a minimap, as some maps got a bit bigger then anticipated. Steam post image

Added a functional minimap, bottom left corner
Fixed a problem with incorrect amount of ability points loaded
Priest death anim and new attack animation with bonus damage against undead
Sound and visual feedback when new units are captured (campaign only)
