Demon Bluff changes
Demon Bluff is participating in the June 2026 edition of the Steam Next Fest. To celebrate, we're launching an update for the demo that contains some exciting new stuff :)
Here's what the new v0.760e demo update includes:
New character - INVESTIGATOR: He allows you to pick any 2 cards and learn the most suspicious character type among them.
New unlockable skins for Baa and Shaman
New Oracle Action system: This lets you recap previous character actions like reveals, ability activations, and kills.
Balance change - Most abilities will no longer refresh after each Night Cycle. Ability refreshes after each Night will become a new character mechanic, available only to few characters. Currently only Dreamer will refresh after each Night.
(Dev comment: Adding Lycanthrope/Werewolf made the Night Cycle much more frequent. This made some villages - especially ones with a larger amount of characters - a bit too easy. For now we decided to disable ability refreshes for almost all current characters, but will explore how to balance this mechanic for more characters.)
Additionally, we've got a bunch of bug fixes and tweaks included in this demo update: Fixed an issue on draw mode and with the report tool what allowed infinite rerolls
Fixed some issues that caused frame drops when revealing cards at round start
Fixed an issue that caused hearts and village progress to remain after leaving respective modes
Removed the ability for Oracle to mention Wretch in her information
Fixed an issue where cards could repeat abilities after the night cycle
Fixed an issue where the pinned deck UI element would remain even with the option off
Fixed an issue where you could skip villages in Deckbuilding mode by spamming "Next"
Fixed an issue where the card removal feature would have all cards unflipped during selection
Fixed an issue with the skin UI element presenting white artifacts
Fixed an issue where pressing space multiple times would allow Lillis to kill several cards at once
Fixed and issue where the Grave Flame relic dealt damage when flipping cards after winning the game
Fixed bad interaction between the Credits button and the Settings UI
Fixed a typo with the Fortune Teller Achievement unlock text
Fixed an issue that cause the UI/Kill action to stop responding after using the bug report tool
Fixed an issue where using the "Heal HP" option in the shop would automatically win the next round
Fixed an issue where you could see the Bishop's description would show even if the card is flipped down
Fixed an unintended interaction between the Dreamer and the Wretch
Fixed a small UI issue where the defeat text would not appear after losing in Deckbuilding mode
